    how does "Start a sleeping computer with Wake-On-LAN" work remotely?
    If the PC's powered off, logmein isn't running.

      Send a Wake up on LAN packet from the Internet - obviously, they did not tell you need to blow a hole in your firewall router.

      $14.99… no thanks. Unless you really want 1 app to do them all… You can use multiple apps. to do the same things (much cheaper).

      A sleeping computer is not powered off. A sleeping computer that supports Wake-On-LAN knows that it needs to wake up when contacted across the LAN.

      Wake-on-LAN will start up a competer… read here:

      Logmein ignition just sends the trigger to wake up the PC, then logmein will start on that PC

    Great app, but a bit expensive. Team Viewer is great alternative. Not sure if there is an iPhone/iPad app for TV though.

    good effort from the OP for notifying us with a 50% off deal. It is a good deal for those who need it.

    I know what this apps does and it is good.
    The tech support (if you ever need it) is also good.
    This App is much better on the iPad since the iPhone screen is simply too small.
    The makers of this app also know that most of their buyers are busy business people who wanted the convenience (and wouldn't mind paying premium for it).
    this is why the app is very expensive.

    I for one will not buy it even though I want it.
    Like many said above, there are viable alternative at much a cheaper price.

    lol at remoteviewer hd pro, avaiable for the trifling price of $149.99
    For that price it had better give me remote control not only of my computer but also the lights, dishwasher, tvs, garage door… and possibly any nearby life forms

    SplashTop is another cheaper alternative that works very well and allows you to stream audio remotely which ignition doesn't.

      I think logmein and team viewer are more suited to remote (not LAN) access and also managing multiple devices.

      You're thinking of LogMeIn Pro, which is not iOS specific… it's an extra premium service across their entire product range.

    Checkout PC Monitor. It's very good and free. Not a desktop mirror type VNC, more of a menu/command based solution that works really well.

The app is a one time purchase and the free client gives full remote access. The paid client (LogMeIn Pro) costs $69.95/year and offers additional features such as remote file transfer and streaming audio.

    I have tried most of the remote apps in the both the iTunes app store and Android Marketplace, and this is by far the easiest to install, use and most reliable. No setup hassles with fixed IP's, NAT's, firewall configs, etc., just log on and it works ! Bargain

    This is a great app - however if you dont have an ipad/iphone or dont want to use it on them, then there is free version that can be set up for use on any computer. LogMeIn Pro is free - and once you set it up on the computers you use (say work and home) then you can control one from the other. It is free and easy to use.
