Why is the large one 35% more than the medium one?
Same reason why a 2L bottle of milk costs more than a 1L one
You pay for the material. Is it better bigger? I guess that would depend on head size.

I have a couple of these at $25 each from Kmart:

I don't recall it ever smelling, definitely doesn't now. You can tear a corner of the packaging in the shop I guess and see.
I just remembered that the mattress is around $4,000.00 after the discount.
They are awesome, though.

the one my wife is using doesn't stink - but is been 5 years and i can't remember if there was an odour to begin with.
I don't think my past ones have stank. The recent one bought from David Jones hasn't stank. Or maybe my nose isn't acute enough?!
We got a couple of these from the harvey's sales, didnt like it much at all, went back to old pillows

I got one years ago thinking it would be a game changer. Was the complete opposite, if you're someone who needs a cool pillow the Tempur is the worst possible pillow around.

Yea i think my neck was more sore about using one then my previous memory foam
