Inspired by true events, CHILDREN OF THE SILK ROAD is a sweeping yet intimate story set against war-torn China in the 1930’s. The film centres on a young English journalist, George Hogg (Golden Globe winner JONATHAN RHYS MEYERS - The Tudors, Matchpoint) a determined nurse, Lee Pearson (RADHA MITCHELL - Melinda and Melinda, Finding Neverland)) and the leader of a Chinese partisan group, “Jack” Chen (CHOW YUN FAT - Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Pirates Of The Caribbean 3: At World’s End) who meet in desperate and unexpected circumstances during the Japanese occupation of China just prior to World War II.
