Free 6 Months Disney+ Premium Subscription @ Commbank Yello

1370

Targeted offer, check your commbank yello offers page. I personally canceled Disney since they increase the price but free 6 months is a pretty decent deal.

Offer may close early. It auto renews after 6 months at $17.99 per month so don’t forget to cancel. For new and returning customers.

How to claim:

  1. Tap Claim offer in the app under Yello offer
  2. Claim the offer on Disney website

    I don't have it.

Good reason for me to sign up then!

But I don't see the offer.

      Huh?

    • +1

What’s not family friendly about Disney?

    • +1

      not family friendly

      Am I missing anything?

    • +5

For anybody wondering, cooker over here is talking about the use of characters that are 'woke'. And, of course, that means that Disney doesn't meet their standards of safety, so it's no longer family friendly (AKA we don't want our kids to know how the world works)

      • -8

(AKA we don't want our kids to know how the world works)

No, more like: We want our kids to be kids. What we watched growing up was imaginations and fantasies of what could be, not a showcase of the dysfunction that is more akin to reality.

Entertainment is a form of escapism - not reality - for many.

I don't offload the pressures of making money to put food on the table onto my kids, nor should I. In the same way, why should we offload the enormous weight of societal function/dysfunction on them?

There will be a time when they will become aware of this, but it shouldn't be via media cloaked as 'entertainment'.

        • +2

          whatever make you happy, mate.

  • +1

    Yeah I don't get it … that'd be right

  • +12

Damn I wish I got this! Instead I have 3x More NBN offers :/

    • +1

If only they had AussieBB NBN offers

      • It would still be more expensive than other broadbands without offers.,

    • +6

FWIW I tried More because of the free 3 months thru Yello…been with them since November and haven't looked back. Got the 40% off for 12 mths after too. ABB was getting too expensive. No issues with More as yet, fingers crossed

      • +1

When your More promo ends, just flick over to Tangerine then back when the next deal pops up. Since they are same company, no action required on your end with the transfer

        • +3

Tangerine was the worst NBN experience I have had in a provider. Then they decided to leak my information just after I cancelled.

  • +1

Why not target me this time? I dont want 10% off Samsung products! Huawei….. or Apple only. lol-

  • +5

4 cba yello accounts in my family and no one got it.

    • Time to change banks

  • +1

Not sure what the criteria is with Yello offers, how they target but both missus & I got this on separate accounts

    • Is this a promo-code or sign-up with a particular card offer? In other words, does it show Activate or View Details under it?

      • +1

It was ‘view details’ and then claim offer button which redirected to the Disney website and applied a unique code. I logged in using an old Disney account and just had to enter new payment details.

  • No offer for me either. Really hoping they start.

  • Nope, nothing here for me either. There's a $10 off Superbarn, and a $5 off Crust… along with the usual NBN 'discounts' from More, but no Disney.
Would be interested to see if anyone got this?

  • +3

When did Disney started charging $18!!!

    • +4

When Netflix started charging silly amounts for streams with ads?

  • If I have a CommBank CC as my primary, if I open a free chequing account will I get Yello?

    • no

  • Maybe it’s just for “everyday plus” Yello Members (30 eligible transactions needed instead of 5) https://www.commbank.com.au/content/dam/commbank-assets/comm…

    • +7

nah i dont have either and im plus

    • I'm an everyday plus member and I didn't get this offer

      • How do you even tell if you're Plus or not?
Looking all over in the app and I can't see it.
Maybe that means I'm not Plus if it's not written somewhere obvious.

        • +1

When I click on Yello it’s says I’ve unlocked everyday benefits (ie not everyday plus)

        • I'm an everyday plus member and I don't get this offer :/

  • +14

Pfft. I got 6 months free PornHub. I never get the good offers. /s

    • I respect your thinking 😜

  • -1

Got the offer but beware, if you use an email that has already used Disney plus you only get the one chance. I accidentally used an email that had previously been a subscriber and now I’m locked out of the deal completely. Bugger.

    • -1
    • Even tho there is error it still works just ,install the app and login

    • OP's post says that it's for returning customers too though? So that's not true?

    • lol downvoted for not being able to get the deal. Yeah I just went through the process and after entering an email it said something like "sorry this promotion isn't valid for this account" and now when I try and start the process again it says I've already used the promo code. Maybe it just bugged out and thinks I've already claimed it..

  • +1

    Got this thanks op!

  • Nothing as usual

  • Sweet - saves $30

  • -7

If my bank wasted money offering me this I would take my money elsewhere.

    • +1

Not worth anywhere close to $18/month - but there's a few good shows in Disney+ now tbh. The bear and shogun are great.

  • not for me

  • +6

Is it just me or is Commbank Yello the most useless rewards scheme of all time? Didn't get it here and considering I pay them for the "Wealth" package, a little reward would be nice.

    • +3

I don’t pay anything and I’ve saved over $100 in the last 12 months.

  • +5

Didn’t get it. I reckon targeted offers should have a separate button on the deal to get a rough number of who actually receives it (would help sort comments with identifying criteria (if at all)).

  • Haven’t got it.

    • +4

      cookers galore!

      • +1

Oh no, you got downvoted by cookers again. However will you cope…

  • +2

I've got Kayo One - $20/month for 12 months. Pointless for me as I don't watch sports.

    • Interesting - I have a $10/month for 12 months Kayo offer

      • $15/month for Kayo One over 12 months here (and $25 / month for basic)

        • Yeah I got the offer for $10/month for Kayo One, or $20/month for Kayo Basic.

I'm on the 'Homeowner' Commbank Yello, which I think sits above the '+'.

    • I got the kayo one for $15!

      • FYI the Kayo One is 1 device streaming and SD only - have to go Basic for 4k ( if it matters to you)

    • +4

      "Pre agenda"

Ummm pretty sure pretty sure most kids movies have always had some kind of moral or takeaway message.

Why not just say "Will stick to the 200 disney movies that push the values I agree with".

  • Previously I was required to do 5 transaction to qualify for Yello. Now they increased my requirement to 30 transactions a month. I don’t have credit card. Just CBA debit card. So I can’t do 30 transactions a month.

    • Just point any subscription at it. Go buy packs of gum, small transactiona will do.

Hmm…it's still says 5. Donno where you got 30 from.

      Eligibility

Have an eligible CommBank transaction account and
Complete 5+ outbound transactions each month from your eligible transaction account or credit card

      • I just transferred $1 to my Westpac five times, got it the next month

      • +1

Go buy packs of gum, small transactiona will do.

You can make a single purchase via $0.01 split payments at the supermarket self-checkout. Each $0.01 split payment counts as an outbound transaction.

Donno where you got 30 from.

30+ is the requirement for Everyday Plus.

      Everyday Eligibility
      * Have an eligible CommBank transaction account and
      * Complete 5+ outbound transactions each month from your eligible transaction account or credit card

      Everyday Plus Eligibility
      * Have an eligible CommBank transaction account and
      * Complete 30+ outbound transactions each month from your eligible transaction account or credit card

Your choice whether you do 5+ for Everyday or 30+ for Everyday Plus.

      I don’t have credit card.

You don't need one for Yello.

      • So confused…but I opened up What looks like Smart Access account and that gave me yello up to last month. Did they change account type requirements?

  • -2

Is this different app for CBA? Only got the regular Commbank app but sure if it'd under that

Blah just checked they named it as Yello and I don't have such offer

  • Got it, thanks OP!

  • I have a streamline basic account with debit card and a credit card account with a small $1500 limit which both I have had for many years and they told me I can’t have Commbank Yello. Anyone know why or have a similar problem?

    • Do you use the cards?
Monthly qualified transactions 5+ or 30+ times to be qualified as Everyday or Everyday Plus sometime next month.

But you might not receive your desired offers pushed to you after you become a Yello member. You might get only the 10% off Samsung RRP or other Little Birdie craps.

So far no clarification on which Yello member will get which offer.

      • Yeah I use both with the streamline basic account having plenty of transactions every month. I think she said the streamline basic account was the problem because there is no monthly account keeping fee but I was reluctant to change to one with a monthly fee for no reason really other than to get Yello. I used to get commbank rewards and when they changed it to Yello I no longer have access.
Yeah that sounds dodgy. I’ll be interested to hear how it all works when someone works it out. Commbank rewards was better because everyone had access to it. Thanks.

      • Would scheduled transfers out of the account be classified as an outbound transaction?

    • +1

      https://www.commbank.com.au/commbank-yello/faqs.html#cashbac…

To access CommBank Yello, you need to have one or more of the below CommBank transaction accounts:
      * Smart Access
      * Everyday Offset
      * Pensioner Security (card access only, not passbook access)
      * Private Banking Account
      * Complete Access (no longer available for sale)
