$20 Delivered!

Colombian Supremo
Supremo represents the highest possible grade for Colombian coffee; they are the largest in size, as the smaller, less dense beans have been removed. Colombian coffees are known for being smooth and easy drinking. Our offering is one that most people will enjoy as a smooth morning wake-me-up, and work well as a medium roast.

Tasting notes exhibit sweet chocolatey flavours, with some fruity notes that can touch on caramel, apple and red fruits like berries. The Colombian aromas tend to be a little citrusy, at times fruity and have hints of spice.

Ethiopian Sidamo
This is a high quality washed coffee bean from the Ethiopian Sidamo region. Growing altitude 1500-2220 masl. The Ethiopian Sidamo region produces versatile coffee beans that suit all coffee types. It is well-balanced, has great body and a pleasant mouthfeel. Roasted to medium with cupping notes exhibiting peach and citrus (lemony) with complex sparkling acidity. This coffee bean is an amazing single origin.

Whole beans only.

We roast in small batches to control all stages of the roasting process ensuring a consistent cup. We ship each order within 48 hours of roasting to bring you the freshest coffee possible.

    Hi Rep,

Any chance for a deal on the "Ethiopia Yirgacheffe" 470gr or 970gr?

    Cheers

    • Hi Reg401,
Unfortunately, the only promo we have is the current sampler. But please subscribe to our mailing list so we can let you know of our future promotions.

Advice needed: I get wildly inconsistent grinds with freshly roasted beans; feels like I have to keep adjusting the machine every day. What's the best approach?

      Hi Ocoolio,

Freshly roasted coffee needs time to "rest" and develop after roasting before it reaches any semblance of consistency or uniformity. To approach this issue you do need to change the grind setting as the coffee changes. We check our grind and adjust every morning. If the coffee beans are very fresh we generally set our grinder to a medium-fine, and then move it towards finer setting as the coffee ages. We haven't found any other way to get around it other than waiting for a week or so before brewing your beans. Hope this helps

Change your grinder? I don't get this issue with the Breville Smart Pro. It's amazing.

      • That could be an option too :)

        • +1

I understand that there could be small changes from day to day but to get "wildly inconsistent" grinds from one day to the next with the same beans suggests and issue with the grinder.

          • @C0mbat: The adjustments are minimal, so it could be an issue with your grinder. What are you using? We use Mazzer grinders.

How are you measuring your inconsistent grinds? By looking at your output volume?

There's several variables that go into a consistent shot, not just the grind. Tamp pressure, age of the beans, amount of coffee, steam pressure. Any one of those can influence the output volume of the shot. Easiest to address is tamp pressure and is what I found was the cause of my issue.

      • Did you buy a calibrated tamper?

        • Yeah, just got one that clicked when enough pressure was applied. I'm not good enough to gauge it myself.

          • @TheBooleanOne: I might give that a go, thanks.

Can I ask which one you got?

            • +1

@ocoolio: Sure, I got the Joe Frex Technic tamper. But to be perfectly honest I've never changed the pressure of it since I bought it so that feature to me is unnecessary. The only plus I like about it is its weight and solidness.

  • Thanks OP. Ordered a sample

Yeah, shame there wasnt much stock. This only got 12 up votes so it's extremely surprising to see the sold out.
