It's just came out on pc so I guess they're worried they won't shift theses without incentive now. I'll be buying it on steam as it didn't run as well as I'd like on switch.

Dunno why this was downvoted, I love Switch but it really struggles with this.

      • I don't think OP liked my comment, oh well it's no problem. It's what the button is there for.

    • Isn't their incentive already that you get a robot statue and artbook?

      • The statue is pretty cheap according to reviews, I looked into this for my son a while back and decided it was a bit naff.

I agree but i already bought this at RRP :(

  • I've been keeping an eye on this, the price hasn't dropped in months for the CE on Amazon(aus), been staying at $99.

I would say, give it a little more time and we may see another drop.

    • Yeah, I'm thinking maybe at $79.

Be careful you don't miss it if you really want it though.

I ordered the PokeBall + edition of Let's Go Eevee for 69 and then canceled since I thought it'd drop lower.

But then they ran out of stock in all the JBs/Big W/EBGames soon afterwards.

Yeah, always a risk, but I actually still think it's expensive at this price point, as the game wasn't well-reviewed, and the model you got, was disappointing. $79 would be about right. $59 is bargain, good value.

          • @RocketSwitch: Can we all be in agreement that the review system for video games is redundant and idiotic?

"Wasn't well reviewed" is a term we throw at a game sitting at 68 on Metacritic.

Joker, which was one of the highest grossing and buzz-worthy films of 2019, sits at a 59, but everybody sings its praises?

            • @Ninternet: I don't agree that they are redundant and idiotic. We all look to our peers to see what is doing well and what everyone is raving on about.

The success of a product is ultimately decided by people.

Which means, we do not look at the one source for reviews.

              Joker for example:
              IMDB: 86%
              RT: 68%
              Meta: 59%

For me, I look at everything, and ultimately, that 86% on IMDB is what sold the movie for me.

Now in terms of this game, I was expecting between 80%+, when the scores populated, I thought, I wouldn't spend $$$ on it. That's not to say if it dropped to $30 I wouldn't buy, but the score doesn't reflect that I should spend that much money on it, which the reviews try to inform the audience.

Are they 100%? No. I can like a game that gets 42%, but highly unlikely. The point is, it's supposed to direct your attention to higher quality entertainment than not if you're going to spend full price. Can't see every movie or play every game, SO, how do you decide? Reviews, previews, interest, etc. etc.

              • @RocketSwitch: I mean they're stupid as in "it's only a good game if it's over 80 and everything under 70 is automatically bad"

        • That went as cheap as $49 a bit later with the pokeball.

          • @[Deactivated]: Don't think it was posted on Ozbargain though. Looknin back there was 45 game only and 65 at Costco (which I did pick up).

yeah $79 - $89 is my margin, as im not jumping up and down to have it.
As a collector, i like to cut cost's for some items.
