  • not too bad, looking for a TV for the kitchen… wonder if this would be big enough… or do people rekon it would be worth holding out for a 24"?
could get a monitor for around the same price and hook up a STB that i have lying round…

Well I saw a 22" HD with tuner at Coles the other day for $150…or was it Woolies…think it was Woolies actually.

    • Depends on how big your kitchen is. A 24" tv would take up a lot of space and I figure a kitchen being a kitchen you'd want to have as much space as possible available for kitcheny things. :)

You might also have a look around for ones with an in-build DVD player but it's only a good deal if it's only $20 or so more expensive than the tv alone.

Personally I picked up an 18" from dick smith with pvr and dvd when it was going for $150. It's $170 now and most are around $170-$200 from a quick scan so this is still a good deal if you don't need dvd/pvr.

      • yep thats a good point, and thats why I've planned to get one of these.

        • In my kitchen there is not enough wall space to mount that. =)

maybe one that hangs from the roof then? there are a few that hang from the roof straight down…
our kitchen and dinning room are together, so would be ideal to change directions from the kitchen to the dining table… though still debating weather or not to leave it so we can be social at the meal table… think im only doing it as i want another gadget.

I have one of these. The viewing angles are not good at all and the sound is incredibly tinny.

Unless you are viewing this thing dead on and using an exterior sound source, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

It does have HDMI, PC (VGA) and Component inputs if anyone is wondering.
