Amazon has Marvel's Avengers for $63 AUD delivered. This game is on preorder for release in September. Additional Amazon Prime discount of $5 taking it to $63 AUD appears to have expired (6th Feb) however still applies by the looks of it at checkout. Otherwise this is $68 which looks to be the best Australian price currently. Worth noting Amazon does have a Pre-Order price guarantee.

    Usually it's to ensure you get a limited edition copy as there are limited stock - eg the Cyberpunk 2077 Collectors Edition sold out mere hours after being announced back in June 2019.

    The other reason would be if you were after a copy of a limited release game - something like a JRPG style game that EB/JB might only get 2-3 copies in per store and you never see it again after that or a game which nobody expected to be big and then it explodes on launch day (ala Greedfall last year, had a mate who ended up going to 8 different stores before managing to get a copy on PS4).

    For regular games though you shouldn't need to worry (and this isn't gonna have high demand on launch given how poor the game looks so far)

    Well Amazon has $5 preorder discount and price matching, and you don't have to hand them any money until release so it's very easy to cancel if the reviews are bad.

    However with that said I would surprised if this game turns out well.
