I am scared it will pick up my mechanical keyboard and room sounds.
Also I will probably keep it on my desk which is about 80cm away from my face yeah I sit back in an armchair to game with my keyboard on my lap and mouse on the arm of my recliner chair.. comfy gaming in 2020 :)
But have heard really good things about blue yeti like crystal clear sounds and zero noise but I think my click and clacks from my mouse and keyboard would pick up more than my actual voice.
It will definitely pick up the keyboard and mouse. I use Cherry Brown switches and my mates will occasionally complaining about my “loud typing”. It can be mitigated by placing the mic further away, using the correct setting to make it more directional, and reducing the sensitivity of both the mic and discord/voip program.
I use a Blue Yeti, no boom and mechanical cherry blues. No one complains about the sound and just change the direction the mic works.
Adjust the sensitivity of you're not using push to talk and you're sweet.
Blue Yeti or the technica at2020 usb+?
I have the AT2050 and it rocks. I wanted the Yeti, but a great deal came up for the at2050. Mine is not usb so I run mine through a little behringer audio mixer which is USB to PC. It does a great job for voice overs in film work. Crazy overkill for video chat. How much are looking at for the 2020?
It was at 160 or so but no is back up at 189.i bought the USB one for my parents back home for our Skype sessions and the sound is finally understandable!
So me thinking the blue yeti is a bargain for this price 🤷🏻♂️

I've watched many Youtuber videos talking about how they setup a podcast or audio for Youtube videos and time after time people recommended this microphone.
Love this mic. Got it at an amazing price of around $110 during Black Friday sales in 2018 and I use every game sesh. Never has an issue picking me up and only had compliments from team mates / friends on how clear it is.
Definitely recommend a boom arm for it to keep it out of the way though.
