Ultimate ultimate weapon
Ordered one for AU$17.46, the normal price of this is 139 CNY (~30 AUD).
Just some feedback. I bought one of these as I measure floor plans onsite for real estate marketing. I thought it would be good as it would fit in my pocket. It’s actually too small to use comfortably becuase you just can’t grip it well. The button is also a bit sticky but for occasional use it would be fine. I think the standard price is around AUD$20 on BG
I disagree about being too small, I find it easy to use.
It's so easy to pocket, it's accurate, and I use it often for all sorts of jobs. I'm loving mine and it's so inexpensive.
10 years ago I had a Bosch model bigger than a pack of cigarettes and cost over $150 so this one is a cracker for me.

That's what she said.
They are much smaller than I was expecting.
I've also used one of these, the size is probably a bit more suitable for frequent use and it has the extra features of the LS-P as well.
Yeah, great as a backup (especially being micro usb charged) but not if you want to use them daily, they are quite small and the button placement being so far down i find it hard to grip.
Good for a room or two but when measuring a whole house it's a bit too small. I'm back to using the Disto D1 but still glad I purchased as it takes up no room in my bag and is super light.
Bought one recently and very happy with it.
It was so easy to measure the dimensions of a room to calculate what size BTU airconditioner would be appropriate for the room.
Very quick and easy to use.
It's definitely a keeper and I'm sure I'll find many other uses for it.
Anyone know if this is eye-safe, I don't want to accidentally burn my eyes out, and I know chinese lasers are usually a higher wattage than advertised.
As eye-safe as the sun.
So if I accidentally look into it for half a second, I'll be ok?
I believe as long as it is less than three seconds it is still safe to eat.
This coupon is not available for limited offer products.
looks like its finished unless I am doing something wrong - trying USA one
Deal expired? Can't seem to get it to work :(
figured it out only one from china will get discount
to make it even more confusing there are two lasers

3 actually. The LS-1S adds a slightly bigger battery and continuous measurement over the LS-1.
Then there's the LS-P (think cost me about US$16 or so) which also does some extra math for you (area, volume, Pythagorean measurement, angles)
Bought one as I think it would be handy to keep one in the blazer pocket. It is a good little machine but I don't know where is it now as it is too small to find.
ahhh…"This coupon can only be used 500 times." missed it. Ozbargined :)
sad
Was going to get a Bosch but this will do
Measuring range: 0.03-40m
I'd rather say the effective measure outdoor is around 25m and below. I tried to measure under the strong sunlight and it struggle to do the job
Found this to be the case as well.
The effective range when outdoor was about 20m for me.
couldn't use it outdoors at all- sun was too bright
Bugger I had the same issue with one I bought from a computer shop
A friend has an old but good Leica that works in sunlight but it costs around $600 for the same level of performance
Tried the $200 bosch and that works ok
Anyone tried the DTAPE range on banggood? The range quoted and the lens looks pretty good so it could be similar to bosch or leica but only $50-60 for 80m-100m range (effectively probably 20m in sunlight which is all I need)
I have this but I don't seem to get good use out of it, I'm curious to hear how others are using it. I had initially thought that I could point the laser at a point on the wall (Point A), and another point (Point B), and measure their distance. But that's not the case. How it works is that it takes the measurement from where the device is to the point. How does everyone use it to measure let's say, the size of a table?
Interesting. Don't you just measure each length at a time
If it's the same as the LS-P, long press for about 2 secs to use min/max. Long press about 5 secs to turn off.
These come in really handy. Also good fun to watch pets chase the red dot
