  • Is this the usual price or is it discounted?
I'm seeing alternative providers advertising RRP of $135, with a special deal of $79 for dates over the next couple of months.

      Hello GG57,

Our courses are accredited and our trainer has over 30 years of experience in the industry. We further discount for group bookings. Please keep in mind these courses you're probably finding for $79 are probably less practical experience more online based. Thanks for your enquiry!

        • -2

That's a great price if you can travel into the city. There is no mention of their trainer and how much experience they have? Our trainer has over 30 years experience in the industry/training. Additionally our course goes for an extra 1.5 hours. I don't think they are really comparable?

          • @EduNex: $79 is a great price.

The price difference of ~$70 would easily cover transport costs (if required), and being 1.5 hours shorter in duration would cover any commute time.

Both courses will provide the same accreditation at completion (assuming successful assessment is achieved), so are definitely comparable.

            • @GG57: @GG57 A shorter commute would not be the issue…? You are getting more knowledge/practical education in our class. You usually pay for services based on time don't you? So why would commute time come into play? We specialize in First Aid/CPR in the West. Our educator Russel has over 30 years of experience in the industry. Definitely not comparable that you are getting the same quality of education especially when you are dealing with a topic like saving someones life…I don't think walking away accredited is the main objective here, i would hope it would be you would be confident enough in being able to preform CPR/successfully administer First aid but good luck with your course!

              • @EduNex: You raised the comment "…if you can travel into the city…", which suggests that commuting is relevant.

There is no evidence that your course provides any more knowledge or practical education (based on the info provided on the relative sites).
I imagine that the educators from both organisations are equally proficient (unless you can provide evidence of otherwise).

The whole premise of "Nationally recognised training" and accreditation is that all of those that attain it are to be similarly proficient. Are you suggesting that some other providers are less than proficient in their services?

                • @GG57: I'm sure you can agree there would be more competition in the CBD compared to the outter suburbs thus they have had to compete the only way they can - with price. For example we are the ONLY First Aid/CPR course in Caroline Springs - be sure to have a look! As you can agree convenience sometimes does not outweigh price. Majority of our students are locally based and as we are close to public transport it is convenient for them to do the course here when they generally live 5-15 minutes away.

What I am suggesting is the "comparable" option is not only in a significantly different location, shorter in time, mentions NOWHERE on their website any details about their qualified trainer? You should come visit us one day, meet Russel our trainer we would love the chance to discuss our courses with you. We hope to see you soon!

                  Regards,
                  Jessica

@EduNex: Let's leave it that my view is that this is not a bargain.

                    • @GG57: Really sorry you feel that way. Have a great weekend!

                      Jessica

  • this is a normal price !

      Hello dodgybrothers,

We have updated the price on our website :)

      Hello greenlantern,

Thanks for your comment, but you are comparing a course that is not only shorter in length (not a full day) but also not as hands on training as they state on their website. You can not compare the same courses when our educator has 30+ years of experience in the industry.

      Have a great day!

  • The course code in the title, doesn't match the code you've listed in the body of the deal.

    • Hello Carlenet,

Thanks for picking that up. All fixed :)

  • My bitdefender doesn't seems to like your website OP

      Hello In28909,

our website is a simple standard WordPress site - nothing fancy or sinister, we have never been told this before but we will look into it.

      Have a good day!

Paid $120 not too long ago from another company. Definitely no deal here. Sorry.

    • Have a read above :)

      • Yes I did read above, it seems you're hellbent on not taking on any feedback at all, but good luck to you nonetheless.

  • Pretty standard price for First Aid Training. In fact VU Polytechnic TAFE offers it in Werribee for $100.

  • Expired!? …. so soon :(

  • “L” plate businesses need to know the definition of bargain before posting a deal for Ozbargainers. Please don’t use here for free promotion of your business. Still remember “Bargain Solar”? Their posts got deleted twice and never be seen.

I'm sure you can agree there would be more competition in the CBD compared to the outter suburbs thus they have had to compete the only way they can - with price. For example we are the ONLY First Aid/CPR course in Caroline Springs

Being the ONLY one in Caroline Springs so can charge higher price? Caroline Springs is not too far from the city btw.
