We were currently on this plan or one similar to it. Somehow the missus managed to get the 25% f&f discount from her old plan to rollover to this one and we were paying $30 per month for 30gb, which at the time was a good deal.
Fast-forward to yesterday, when I noticed that the latest bill was $40. I've live chatted with a CSA who confirmed that the f&f discount had expired after 24months. Nevertheless, he kindly offered to waive $10 off this bill and to move us to a month-to-month plan which is not adverstised. The m2m plan is 30gb for $34 per month with unlimited phone & calls, which is $4 more than we were paying previously for the exact same service.
Phone gets used primarily to make and receive calls but depending on who has it the most, can rack up to 25 gb a month. This is the batphone and we can't afford to lose this number. The Sim is registered to my wife's name who is currently overseas and will have to go through a 2 week employer-imposed quarantine when she comes back. So we won't see her for a while :(
What are my options?

TL;DR : Need a new phone plan with about 25gb and unlimited calls and txts. Phone is registered to someone who is overseas for the foreseable future. Was offered 30gb for $34 on m2m with Optus and I can swap over to new plan via live chat without anyone being none the wiser. Is it a good plan?
It's better than paying $40..
Switch to it for the time being and then find something better once things are back to normal
