This is my mates new ebay store, and he has an introductory offer running he's selling 10 of these Value packages!
Thought the plugin would help him although… it is a pretty damn good deal!! Enjoy!

  • Nice deal, if I hadn't just got a new laptop I'd get one.

  • This is not cheap: (price guide is based on buying from MSY)

    Intel Dual-Core E2180 (2.0Ghz/2M) — (73)
    Gigabyte Motherboard (945GCMX-S2) — (60)
    1GB DDR2 800mhz Memory — (25)
    160GB HD — (50)
    Powerhouse Case Black + 400W PSU — (50)
    LG DualLayer Burner — (25)
10/100 Lan, Gigabyte Software — (on board)
Onboard 5.1 surround Sound — (on board)

    total is $283 only.

    • thank for the info.. I just though it was a good deal worth sharing.

    • Are you kidding? MSY are the absolute cheapest you can get parts from and they do not courier, only pick-up.

To get this system built for that price is fantastic. I know some retailers who can't even buy parts as cheap as MSY sell them.

+1 deal for me, even though I won't need it :)

  • spammer. GTFO.

    • gees im not spamming?? i thought it was a good deal.. sorry

  • I agree that the price doesn't look like much of a bargain.

  • Depends if you're confident assembling a system (something I'm pretty sure MSY wont do for you!) and how much you value your time…
Add on ~$20 shipping means you're paying $30-40 assembly fee above the MSY price, I reckon that's fair. I've assembled a PC before and it takes a couple of hours, especially for a beginner.

  • If MSY comes to $283 without assembly, that's $70 for assembly at MSY. These guys are selling cheaper than MSY, which generally counts as a very good deal for a computer system. Of course you've got to factor in postage, returning for warranty and a new, unknown seller.

    But hardly spamming IMO.

  • not a bargain, just trying to get free advertising for his mate!

    • Oh man.. I wrote in the ad that it was a plugin for him is it nessesary to shoot down a kind gesture??

    • Correct, not a bargain, simply advertising.
Anyway…the price is really good though taking into consideration the time & price for assembly!

  • Historically we don't allow postings from eBay because it really opens a big can of worm here. For example should we then post all these "deals" from Hong Kong with 5x the delivery cost?

However I haven't blocked eBay because occasionally we have those deals directly from eBay.

Also please fix your title. "Really cheap computers" is a marketing description that says nothing about the content. "2GHz Core 2 Duo Computer with 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD + DVD RW for $295" is a better description.

Btw, the price does not include delivery, which is not spelt out on the page. Moreover, if I am going to pick it up it will be $15 extra handling fee, which should also factor into the final price.

    • Thanks for the advice scotty.. just joined today, newbie syndrome!

  • There are plenty of other "bargains" on ebay, which makes this one look not so good.

  • why dont we post some of the cheap HK deals? We did it with DX. Eg, the 1 cent ipod covers (thats 1 cent inc shipping)

    • I guess it is all based on reputation. After all people vote what deal they would like to see (and don't like to see). With DealExtreme it is well discussed and have thousands of comments dedicated to them on Whirlpool so I'll say they are different from a typical eBay store from HK.

  • Cheap - but not a bargain.. sorry mate…
