        It should be AUD, it doesn't say so but the amount is exactly 10% I paid (in AUD), would be too good to be true if it's USD

        Sure thing. So apply for 50 dollars off coupon in edu store, it will take less than 24hrs. Apply the coupon, and activate rakuten 10% off deal (ad blocker needs to be off), the Rakuten chrome extension will show if it's successfully activated. Place the order, wait after 24 hrs if the balance doesn't show up in your account, try to contact the customer service, they will sort it out.
        Notice: the deal on Rakuten seems not available anymore

      Hi AndrewJin, is there any chance you can provide some of your chat history with Rakuten? They have just told me they're refusing to pay my cashback because I bought the phone from www.samsung.com/au (of course I did, we all did).

        Sorry to hear that. Sure thing, glad to help. So talked to the AI assistant on Rakuten first, all I did was telling them the order number etc. And it referred me to a human staff the day after, here's the email I got:
        "In order to resolve your issue, I am transferring your email to a specialist in the appropriate department. They will contact you as soon as they have more information. Thank you for your patience."

        And on the same day I got the credit in my account, as email:
        "Your order has been approved and your account has been updated to reflect this purchase from Samsung. You can view this Cash Back information in your Rakuten account at this time."
        I'm still waiting for the money now, it will be transferred in May, but I haven't seen any notice saying it's declined, I assume it worked. Did you buy it in the education store? As I did, maybe that's the reason?And even if that's the case, you should get 3-6% back, I'll suggest you talk to the customer service.

          I did buy through the edu store, exactly in accordance with this deal.

          Unfortunately your anecdote won't help me because I've got no proof to back it up if I wanted to pursue it further with Rakuten.

          If you can post your chat thread, that would be helpful, I can appreciate if you dont though as they're more likely to cancel your cashback than approve mine.

    Is anyone else having trouble using their 50 dollar off promo codes? I've got two and they both dont work, have tried with/without hyphens, caps lock etc and they dont work.

      Did you get your voucher through normal Samsung website ? Coz it won't work on edu portal you have to login using your edu portal account and then sign up for the voucher

          Mine took 4 days because I ordered it on the Friday before the long Weekend. It was shipped out on the Monday(IDK how because it was a Public Holiday) and I got it the next day~!

    The promo email finally came through. Just ordered S20 plus with $50 promo.
    Also tried cashback through Rakuten. But the actual shopping is not recognised…
    Can't seem to find my trip details (under Rakuten) on their page.
    And the cashback is not showing on Rakuten.
    I just logged "Missing Cash Back" and waiting for their response.
    Hope they can manually add them in. :D
