      What

It's a common joke American Tourists make, but thanks for the downvotes you humourless cretins.

    • You forgot to mention that it's also part of the J. Peterman collection.

  • I wonder if this backpack is water proof?.

  • If you can find a Xiaomi 17L on sale I'd recommend that over this personally, but this isn't bad at all.

    • Which xiaomi model and why? Cheers

They're around $25-30 on sale but haven't seen a sale for a while.

The American Tourister one looks a little cheaper quality imo + personal preference of the more subtle design

Size and functionality essentially the same. Xiaomi is slightly smaller but more functional front pocket (imo).

Edit: note Xiaomi one is like 700g from memory - not 300. If weight is a huge concern 300 is very light. Good if you're doing 10+4 on Qantas domestic or something, makes the most use of the 4.

        • Haha damn, i prefer the colour of the xiaomi but the shape of the AT. Xiaomi prob has more little organiser pockets. Also just saw the xiaomi is 700g vs only 300g for the AT. 700g isn’t really heavy but half a kilo counts when you’re stuffing it in a suitcase lol

          • @eggboi: Yeah noticed that after and edited comment, makes the difference.

Xiaomi has little pockets everywhere but I find they sag too much when used. Much rather little cases (ie old shaver cases, see below) to put things in.

https://www.wish.com/product/5d79bf860beb3d6f2402c8a7 (Don't pay this much - they're like $8-10 elsewhere I'm just too lazy to find examples)

    300g is impressively light

    • Esp for a backpack with padded straps and back. I grabbed one to use as a walkabout bag on overseas trips. Main backpack is always too big. Good to have a super light one you can stuff in the suitcase to hold jacket / water / lunch etc

    Too late

  • Bummer I would've liked one of these =(

  • Hi rep, will you have more soon?

  • Damn, too late

  • Probably best not to walk around with "American Tourister" labelled on you anyway…

  • Back order or restock at this price?

  • how could i miss this deal :(

  • Ditto - I'd order one at this price too if they had any more.

  • Hi all,

  • one more left in stock. (i just ordered one when there are 2 left)
