Error Fare: Perth to Singapore $75.47 Return on AirAsia @ GotoGate

680

I was looking at dates from other sites (eg skyscanner: https://www.skyscanner.com.au/transport/flights/per/sins/200…) and then when you click through to Gotogate - $75! Error fare!

Evidence: https://imgur.com/a/0JIm9eW

Dates I found are April 2 to April 6

AirAsia is a low cost carrier, but their food on board is WORTH paying for ($4 for a delicious Nasi Goreng last time I flew).

Don't know how long it'll last, but if it fails, the skyscanner link had another one for a similar price on FlyFar.com.au.

Might be a corona fare, not an error fare

    • +2

I get the logic, but the indexed rate was 50% higher on skyscanner. Don't look on purpose.

@mods can we get some custom CSS to tag and filter corona or toilet paper jokes?

        thats peak boomer humour

        • A reference which in itself has run its course

  • It's not charging any taxes for that fair, which seems unusual.

    • +3

      Unusual and unfare

    now $98

Is beatthatflight or gotogate is the same owner of BESTJET and FLY365 whi went to liquidation recently?

    • +6

Er, Beat That Flight is unrelated to all of those services. We just find deals when we can! :)

      • +4

So hey, I've been meaning to ask. What's in it for you? Do you get referral bonuses somehow?

        • +3

Bookings page says 'Powered by travelpayouts'.
          Heading to travelpayouts says;

We pay 50-70% from the profits we get for each booking. On average, you earn approximately $7 from the price of a purchased plane ticket and $20 from a hotel booking (assuming the average bill is $400).

Yeah, we get a small percentage of each flight, and run Google Ads as well. Plus the enjoyment of it (I'm a flight nerd).

  • I'm in Sydney so useless for me, but 6-21 Perth > BKK return appears to come in at $132!

  • April 1-6 is $70 but you can't go beyond that page to book, says error

  • +1

Can you book though, found loads of error fairs on go to gate but always either doesn’t work or price corrects on the final page.

    • +1

A lot of this stuff is bait, even if it goes through, at the end it will spit an error saying "the price has increased".

  • I think they have fixed it now.

  • Deal is now Expired.

    • +1

*Unobtainable (fare corrects on payment screen).

    • Lol, obut happy to eat the buttholes of other animals.

  • Their Facebook page says their sale starts today for Big members. They are advertising same rates as the sale a couple of weeks back - $89 Perth to KL.

  • How do you find the actual flight costs which feature on the site advertisements?

For example, Bangkok and Singapore are shown at approximately $120 - but when you click on the hyperlink, the flights are 4 times the amount.

    • It's often just a select few dates. You generally have to hunt for them. Same with Tiger :/

Note that the one in the original post - the error fare, was an error fare and no longer valid. The others should be tho.
