Home Loan: New Borrower, Loan Approx $280k, Want Offset and Rate 2.xx%

Hi all,

if someone has recently gone through this, who did you end up going with?

This is not a refinance, loan will be approx. $280k, offset is pretty important to me. I don't need credit cards, don't want to pay a $395/year fee and don't mind if it isn't a big 4.

At this stage, I'm leaning towards Athena/TicTok or St George.

Thanks, Sam

  • for simple loan, reduce home loans seems to be one of the cheapest one
otherwise, athena, or state of custodian
    or contact a broker?

    • Following as I have the same requirements. Offset is a must for me as I may turn my PPOR into a IP. Athena doesn't have offset unfortunately.

      • +1

        state custodian does

        • For new applicants only.*
*By the manner in which funding is purchased for new customers due to market conditions this rate is only available to new customers.

  • Currently looking at Bank of Melbourne. If you go via a mortgage broker, you could get a 2.79% variable rate with an offset account and get a $4,000 cash rebate. Worth checking out?
