    Note: i bought the sirloin a few weeks ago. It DID NOT come with an ice pack. Thank god I was at home that day otherwise they would all have gone off!

      Not sure why it was the case for you. I also bought the sirloin and it was my second order with them, both came with ice packs.

        it was my first order so i was surprised! it might have just been an oversight but it could have ended badly.

        also want to make it known, i WILL buy from them again since I thought the meat was really tasty since it all ended well. just wanted to let others know

      there was not. no ice pack, no ice. just steaks (also no water so not like the ice melted). i picked it up almost right away when it got delivered because I was at home

    How does this steak compare to Aldi's eye fillets as they are only $20kg vs $40 here cheers.

      comes down to how you cook it and the part of the eye fillet you get …..aldi is usually the butt half or the tail half ……but also steak cooks up fine ……most australian beef is grass fed and roams in paddocks.

      Those are Pork eye fillets, the beef is the loin not tenderloin. Either way, Aldi's meat is packed with water, you can even get a decent sear

        It's eye fillet beef according to ALDI, albeit not the best quality, hence the price.

    Update:

    "I am glad you enjoyed your sirloins. Our delivery policy is that we pack ice packs and ice for all interstate deliveries. For any Sydney deliveries if someone is home to collect the order then we don't put ice on it as someone is home and we are delivering from a refrigerated van. I spoke to the driver and he said someone was home to accept the delivery."

      Received the email last night and delivery today (Vic). I believe Wednesday is the normal delivery, however understandably demand and business is likely abnormal at current.

      Edit: All ice packed as normal and looking forward to cooking it.

        I received my order yesterday, exactly the time they mentioned in their email, thank you! Got 3kg eye fillet before all these crazy meat rush in supermarkets and butchers, looks like we'll have steaks for the next 3 weeks
