I bought some non Bose replacement ear pads on Amazon but ended up returning them. The non genuine ones were highly rated on Amazon, but were noticeably less padded and less comfortable than the genuine Bose ear pads. Not sure why so many people seemed happy with them. When comparing the genuine and non genuine ear pads side by side the size and sponge density difference was obvious.
All of that being said, the genuine Bose replacement still didn't seem to feel as good as when I got the headphones brand new, but they were definitely better than the Amazon version.
I got some from ebay for about $12 and I can't tell the difference from the originals. A friend, however, got some (from a different seller) and didn't think they were good. So YMMV, I guess
@ASA: Luckily for me the replacement pads i got for qc35 from ebay was as comfy if not more comfy than the original.
