Tin roof only?? No tiles???? What the hell. What is this the 50’s

    • Hi Bemybubble,

The price listed in the ad was specifically for a Tin roof property. Our CEC accredited installers are definitely able to service a Tile roof also. We are more than happy to provide a quote for a tile roof on request.

      :)

      • Any chance of quoting a tiled roof as a starting point? Tin roof would be the exception and not the norm…

        • +2

Thank you for the suggestion! We have updated the ad to include pricing variation for tile roof and double storey properties.

It is common industry practice to list a "standard" solar installation as single storey, single phase, Tin roof.

          :)

        • +1

It’s very region based. In my area sheet roofs are the norm, many older 1950s tile roofs are also been converted to sheet

    • +2

It's pretty standard to quote on tin roof (metal sheeting) since it's the cheapest and easiest roof material to install on.

Installing on tiled roofs is totally possible but requires a bit more labour to install the racking, so it costs a little extra.

  • Your terms and conditions link is broken. You might want to link directly to your website if you have one.

      Works for me

  • I'm a double story slate roof could it be done?

    • Yes, it can be done :)

  • Are these reputable branded solar panels ?

    • Yes, but I wouldn't put them on my roof.

      • I don't get it…..lol

      • Is this vic only as you’ve mentioned Adelaide and Melbourne?

        • Hi BongoOB,

The deal we posted is for Victoria, however, the airport projects listed are in Adelaide and Brisbane. Just examples of large scale projects where Trina panels were preferred. :)

    • Did anyone get back to you? I’m about to possibly get this too.

So good. For comparison, I was quoted $6500 for a 2.5kw system here in regional NSW :(

I get scale of economy and all that, but far out.

Unfortunate to hear. Hopefully we can service you next time you look for solar :)

    Is that including Pluto ???

  • I am so tempted, but I live in a three storey townhouse…would it even be possible to pull the wires from the top floor down to the meter box?

    • Definitely doable!

      • Hi
Can you please pm me to.
        Thank you.

Is this one of those systems that feed excess electricity back into the grid?

Also; anyone with a similar system, how much are your power bills costing you since installation?

I'm in a single story house, 4 people using usual stuff like PCs, TVs, Consoles after school and on weekends.

    • +2

They all feed power back to the grid, but the house takes priority, then filling the battery (if you have one), then selling back to the grid once the battery is full and the current power needs are met.

      • Is a battery a must have or …?

    • +2

All Systems feed excess power back to the Grid. A battery is not a must.

  • Could you please quote on the system with a battery? I do qualify for the battery rebate as I have existing panels but have been told from a previous provider that they aren't very good and they wouldn't hook up a battery to them.

    • PM sent :)

  • Anyone looking for a friend? I think I’m going to go ahead with this and would like the $100 off.

    • PM me.

  • I'm planning to go ahead with this and would like $150 off. PM me if you want to go ahead too.

  • When would you start to install Trina 500w panel?
