    A battery is a battery, but most of these smart chargers cannot charge a Dead flat battery.
    
    As for this Generic charger over the Ctek the difference is how its built on the inside.

    Try to jump start it and drive around on the highway for 15min or so before using a charger to charge it.

any comments on the C-tek v's this Victron Charger for $20 more? A bit less grunt at 4A, but has bluetooth and charges li-ion.

question for the brainstrust - understand that some of the 12V lifepo4 batteries now include a built in battery management system (BMS) and the manufacturers (well, the sellers anyway) claim that you can charge with standard lead-acid battery chargers. True? in which case you could use this charger on them…
