    hey rep will this play 1080p or 720p MKV files?

      MKV is a container, so yes, will play any resolution as long as the codec is supported

      No - single tuner, but can watch something else from the same stream as the one recording…ie: record Go, watch channel 9

          I know some Topfield and Strong STB's / PVR's do it…not sure if many's tv with USB recording have that.

          TiVo has 2 tuners. You can record 2 channels and watch a recorded show at the same time. So I assume you can record 1 channel and watch a recorded show.

    Free shipping working??? When im in the final checkout page the only option for shipping method is the $15 courier, and unless you select it there is no way to confirm the order. Am i doing something wrong is the checkout bugged or is the 'free' shipping cost 15 bangers.

    On the other hand does this media player support the H.264 codec? Also interested to know if AAC and AC3 audio codecs are supported.

      Gb ethernet is backward compatible with 100Mb, you just don't get the speed.

    You can achieve, in effect, the same thing as what this unit does for only $73.98 from DSE…

    • DSE DVD player for $29.98 +

    • DSE HD STB with timer recording for $44.00

      = $73.98

    The advantage of having separate units is that if one craps out you can replace it cheaply. Disadvantage is you have two remotes etc.

    Any reviews out there?
