Good deal on the A7III for $2065 with extra battery and 64gb card

    https://www.digidirect.com.au/sony-alpha-a7-iii-mirrorless-d…

    • Is that the best bang for buck budget wise and lens compatibility wise? Thinking of upgrading from my Nex-5T. Thanks.

      • +1

At this price point yes no doubt.

      • Yes this is a very good deal. A7III's have gone for as low as $1899 in November last year but I don't believe it has gone sub $2000 this year. I don't think it will go much cheaper for a while due to the weak Australian dollar; currently sub 60c USD vs 70c USD in Nov/Dec last year, meaning it is less likely the price can drop much more. It might drop sub $2000 when the Sony A7iv is announced/release but it might be a while before that happens. The A7iv is rumoured to be coming out sometime this year but given how Coronavirus has impacted global supply chains, its release date could be a little while off still. If you have the money this is probably the best mirrorless camera you can get at the moment.

    • Damn that's a great price!

sick…but sad because of reason…sales must have tanked

Goodbye credit card balance. You have made me feel like i was in control of my finances for a while now. RIP
    But on a side note, hello RF 15-35, 28-70 & 85mm <3
Now just to wait for the R5!

    • RF glass… mmmmmmmmmmm *Home Simpson sounds!

    • R5 will be delayed for a while just like a lot of electronics products meant to be introduced this year…

      • Yeah I know. Wasnt expecting it any time soon, but with the AU$ dropping it like its hot against the USD, i expect lenses to get more expensive, just like last time it happened. I remember working in tech retail and there was price jumps as much as 25% one month to the next with some of the Canon glass…
Im a photographer by trade so i usually run around with a couple of 1Dxii's and a full range of L glass, but i like new toys… too much… So am excited to use the R and eventually R5 for my creative and video work :)

Great prices on quality Sony lenses, but who's willing to risk spending what is still a lot of cash in these times of economic collapse. I wouldn't be surprised to see 25% to 30% in the not-too-distant future.

Supply will dry up due to factory closures and cut back on freight transports so I doubt the distributors see any need to clear out stock at massive discounts…

    • Lens stock is already running low. I was in Singapore last week and they cant get a lot of their orders fulfilled already according to several stores.

I'm still awaiting from Digidirect to let me know when I can expect delivery of Sigma 24-70/2.8 (for Sony) that I ordered at Christmas time…

      • You may want to recheck with them. I was in their store 2 weeks ago and they said that they had stock of that lens available for immediate purchase.

      • I contacted them yesterday about it and they said they had a shipment of 80 potentially arriving next week and that around 30 would be sent out to people who back ordered them. However given the current circumstances they said that they can't be confident that it will arrive next week.

    Insta360 one r 20% off

Oly 12-40mm f2.8 still more expensive than its 2019 RRP…

  • +1

Managed to backorder the Sigma 24-70/2.8 for $1,279.20! The item wasn't meant to be on sale but they accidentally put it on sale. I contacted them and they acknowledged it wasn't meant to be on sale but they seem to be honouring the price.

    • Good luck on the back order! Might be a long wait.

      • I contacted them about the lens and they said they are expecting a shipment next week, however given the global Coronavirus situation they couldn't guarantee that they would actually arrive next week or give a timeline of when they would arrive if the shipment is delayed.

  • Couple of lenses I'd like, but am behaving myself. I can live without them, use what I've got.

  • Canon 90d & Canon M6 mark ii is a great price too

  • Any cashback or other discounts? planning to buy a Fuji xpro3!

  • thoughts on Fuji XF10? hell a lot cheaper than GR but the photos look meh.. better than smartphone tho

    • GR III for sure, they don't compare.

      • It's almost three times as expensive in the best case scenario… i've checked shopbot, GR3 is still 1100+AUD at its cheapest.
