    Scott Morisson's advice:

"What we are saying is non-essential travel should be avoided and particularly when we're talking about interstate travel and longer distances, the sort of travel that would not be normally part of your normal life."

Not a good idea at this point in history.

  • Low season?

    Any deal for pandemic season?

The advice is to avoid domestic travel
What not offer the units free to health care workers?

    • +4

This is a great idea. Offer this to health care workers who need to self isolate and don’t want to put their family at risk - whether they have kids or live with high risk adults.

    Happening all over Europe
Times like this we have to help each other

  • Other hotels will be so much cheaper soon

  • The meriton is ~$90 a night, and several other 4 star hotels are sub $100.

We're all meant to stay at home!!!!!

Tough time for the industry for sure, but do we want to encourage people to travel to a city that is likely a COVID hotspot right now? For 7 days in a 1 bedroom apartment? The visitors are never going to stay inside then they will go home probably before they are symptomatic to spread the disease further.

I feel for you\the industry for sure, but promoting travel and socialisation at a time like this is irresponsible. What's more you have suggested a good reason to come stay there would be because they can access the parklands nearby!

    • +1. We all need to take isolation seriously. Otherwise we will not break the back of this. And it’s likely going to be for quite a while yet.

    Follow up question

When people get stuck in your apartments because interstate travel is banned and\or the airlines cut even more flights will you let them stay on rent free given you encouraged them to come in the first place?

  • Drop your price in the current environment, cheaper is better than no one at all
