I'll bite. Seen this advertised a few places and not sure it's something I'd pay for. May be a good way to kill time. Thanks OP!

  • +1

Doesn't seem to be generating codes - it's gone straight to the sign up page without any pop up or email

    • +3

Try and temporarily disable your ad-blocker as it may be interfering with it..

      • +1

Yep, that was the problem - opened the page in Edge and the code appeared at the top of the page!

        • +1

Great, thank you for confirming :)

        • +6

Ah Microsoft Edge, the go-to browser for ad-inducing, code-enabling browsing.

          • @silverrat23: They've actually rewritten it on chromium. So it's more google than ever.

            • @S2: Beta only for now though iirc

      • Or use incognito mode in Chrome which worked for me

      • For others who may be experiencing a problem with the hotlink code presenting. Disabled Adblock+ in Chrome, but still no joy. Mimicking the suggestion of another Ozbargainer, switched to MS Edge trackware and presto. No doubt that email addy will be spammed relentlessly with continuing sub discount offers.

Fenderplay loads fine now in Chrome.

        Thanks OP.

  • Thanks OP! what Genre do you like ?

Friends don't play the ukulele in front of friends.
It is an instrument of the devil

    • +1

The Recorder they teach at primary school is the instrument of the devil. Especially when neighbours kids bring one home and play Mary had a little lamb, over and over again.

    • I always thought that the instrument not played by gentlemen was the banjo :-/

what's the difference between a ukulele and an onion?

nobody cries when you chop up a ukulele.

  • Thanks doweyy, a very good time and my son is going to love it. Does anyone know if we can change the style later?

    • Curious about this too.

I want to learn acoustic, as well as touching up my bass skillz!

I don't see an option to do this?!

      • Yes you can change any instruments any time. It will remember your position in the initial instrument lessons.

      https://www.fender.com/play/paths
or click on where it says "Acoustic Guitar: Blues" or whatever path you chose. Its on the top left, just above the "Level x" text

  • anyone know whats the easiest (iso'ed) way to tune a guitar?

    • +1

i use the Guitartuna app, it's really easy. I use it for my electric and acoustic guitars. For electric, you dont necessarily need to have it connected to your amp, you can just play the strings with the guitar unplugged, just make sure there is no other loud background noise when you do it.

  • I picked acoustic, but then the instruction videos are on an electric guitar…

    • They shouldn't be that different from my experience. On an acoustic you wont be able to do BIG string bendings and you cant really use many effects, but the general theory and usage should be the same, so don't worry about it.

    • Playing with a pick, it's not really going to matter. Everything will more or less be the same at a beginner level unless you decide to fingerpick

  • While we are on the topic of stringed instruments, what's a good app to keep a library of song chords? I use ultimate-guitar.com on the computer but it's app for iPad is really, really bad.

@bongoman … use Edge and redeem code also need postcode to be entered … worked for me 5 minutes ag0

    • First postcode that came to mind…90210

  • Thanks OP. Great for when we have plenty of time at home

  • edge or chrome did not provide codes with adblock disabled

  • Couldn't get code on Brave/Chrome, but Safari worked fine. Thanks OP!

  • It's telling me "code not valid" any ideas?

  • Waste of time.

Go to the trouble of creating an account, but then when you try to log in and redeem code it comes up with "request could not be completed, contact support".

    I plus voted prematurely. Revoked.

  • Thanks OP. Need to buy a guitar now :-)

  • When you have mastered a few uke chords, make your way to www.scorpexuke.com Plenty of songs at your fingertips!

  • I got “expired” in the code field, guess the deal has expired? Note I did try to use expired as code :(

FYI www.justinguitar.com is a free resource for learning guitar. I found it very good when I was practicing.

This one is very good,at least Justin know how to play guitar, the "teachers" at fender are very low of skills and teach wrong stuffs

  • Worked for me - I entered the 99501 (Alaskan zip code) just in case it balked at an Australian postcode.

    Thanks OP!
