I bought a pair of these when they were on special awhile ago and the quality isn't great. I used to have the Srhythm NC75 (the ones with the massive L and R on the inside cushions of the headphones) which were fantastic, so when the NC75 eventually broke and these were on sale I bought them instead but they're nowhere near as good. The sound quality is so-so and the ANC creates a background hum without actually cutting out much noise.
Definitely serviceable and will do in a pinch but I'd wait for the NC-75 to go on special or look for another brand.

I would say these over ear headphones will not have excellent microphone. I own the NC75 and Sony WH-1000XM3 and even the Sony which is high end still has passable microphone at best.

    • So your Sony's cost $300 or so and you are saying the mic on them is only "passable" and extrapolating backwards that this mic can't be any good because of its price tag? Did it ever occur to you that much of this gear is over priced and that you just paid for the sony logo, so extrapolating back the mic might actually be ok!
Probably have to try one before you can make this type of comment.

      • Did you read my post? I own the NC75 which is supposed to be better compared to this NC25. When I make phone call with it, people complain about my voice sounds distancing and very quiet.

The Sony is better, but still not stellar.

If you are buying this to do video conference, it won't be very good for that.

Ok, point made, but you are really comparing items of vastly different price brackets. Assuming your not just paying for a logo, then it's really apples vs oranges.

  • Agreed, the NC-75s are great, picked a pair up a little over a year back and they have been amazing, still going strong.

  • Had these for six months. use them daily for phone calls, video conferences, I'll vouch for the standard of the mic; they have Qualcomm CVC6.0 ….sure CVC8.0 is now available in the latest releases but they are still more than serviceable.
