Might support Google and alexa but is buggy and will not let you have a pass code set and viewable on alexa./ Google screen.

      Sounds like a Xiaomi product.

    • Have to say that is my experience with a few Xiaomi products!

    • I don't have issues with my Google and Amazon assistants.

      • Even with a pin code attached to the camera to deter would be people dropping in randomly? If you have this configured I would be grateful for any advice.

  • This model have visible red led light when using night vision mode?

    • Not that I recall

    • All cams have IR visible dots at night. Thats how the tech work. It illuminates the sensor

      • I'm not sure that's exactly true. Have a baby monitor which had a red LED Light - and we just taped over it and it works in the dark. Perfect invisible at night .

  • Will this camera tracking human movement?

    • +9

      For the CCP yes.

      For you? No

      • So the camera will not follow human movement?

Anyone knows whether this camera can stream / access through RTSP / ONVIF protocol?
I will need a camera that can hook up with my Synology Surveillance Station

    • +1

It's not compatible with Synology surveillance station but you can have it continuously save to your NAS.

      • Compatible with Blue Iris software?

        • +1

I believe Blue Iris and Synology are both using RTSP / ONVIF to get the stream
So it will not be compatible i believe

          • @littlesoldier: So none of Xiaomi products are compatible with Synology?

            • +2

              @CyberMurning: Not totally
If you got an early version of Xiaomi XiaoFang or DaFang
You can install a hack firmware which opens up the RTSP stream

              https://github.com/EliasKotlyar/Xiaomi-Dafang-Hacks

I bought 4 of these years ago and have all installed the hack
basically you just need a micro-sd card

Cons on installing the hack is
You no longer able to use the XiaoMi Home app
and you dont get alert video footages

              • @littlesoldier:

Cons on installing the hack is
You no longer able to use the XiaoMi Home app

                Did you mean 'Pros'? ;)

    • Get the Reolink E1 Pro, it's similar but higher resolution (1440p) and works with Synology (shown supported according to Reolink. Has been at this price before too. Support OnVIF.

If you are feeling it you can grab E1 Zoom which has Optical Zoom so all around superior to Xiaomi.

      • I've had a lot of issues with Reolinks (I have two) with smearing using RSTP. I've had to use the poorly documented RTMP urls.

  • Protocol DHCP, HTTP, IPv4, P2P, RTP, TCP, UDP

  • I've got this, or a very similar model, and you can turn it on and off with Google Assistant (sometimes), but nothing else really. Works perfectly fine through the Xioami app.

    • Will this connect to the China Server or the International / Australia server in the Xiaomi Home app?

      • +1

I think from previous comments it goes through the International server - otherwise it won't connect from Australia.

    • You can display the stream from your smart assistant with display as well. (Echo show or nest hubs)

      • I have found the steam on my Google nest hub is really delayed and also drops out after about 5mins.
Pretty useless since i use mine as a baby monitor.

        • Thats why I prefer to use RTSP stream as it is more stable
and view it using LiveCamsPro (iOS) / TinyCam Pro (Android)

Besides, I also get used to Synology Surveillance Station with the DS Cam app
that I can fast forward / backward of the video footage if any accidents happened in the baby room

  • Anyone know if this is compatible with Blue Iris software?

  • Is this one the same but with the ability to pan?

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Xiaomi-MJSXJ02CM-Security-Camera-1…

Seems to have a lot more reviews.

  • +1

For anyone that needs the RTSP / ONVIF stream
which can connect to custom apps (eg. TinyCam) or Blue Iris

An alternative is the Reolink E1
    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000215486077.html?spm=a2g0o…

This can also integrate with Google Assistant and stream to Google Home Hub

    • I'll check this thanks. Need something new to play with my Synology

  • The E1 does not have these features, you need to get the E1 pro or zoom

  • home assistant support?
