Scomo's $750 plus the dole would sort you out. Gotta spend money to save money… The ozbargain way!

Best of luck with the job hunting though

    • Sorry to hear it mate. At least you didn't buy the TV the day before.

  • wow pretty big saving. overall 4/5 on Productreview.

How were the lines? heard they stretched back to the toilet paper section last week. (not a TP joke :/)

    • +1

everyday discount price is ~$1500. not a big saving at all!

      • +11

150 bucks not a big saving?
It's ozbargain mate every cent counts!!

        • +3

a "big saving" here refers to $1050 reduction from that BS "$2400"!

This tv can be found in many places for $1500, easily.

If anyone believes s/he saves "$1050"…no, s/he may only save $150 maximum.

Not saying $150 is a small amount of money, but $150 is NOT a big saving compared to $1050.

          Simple math, go figure.

This is not a 100Hz tv, which should be removed from the title. The "motion rate" (software interpolation) is 100Hz, the panel is 50Hz.

    • didnt know there are now TVs with 100hz panels…any recommendations?

      • +5

There have been for many years. Each brand has them. For hisense, anything from R7 upwards is 100Hz. They are considered good value for money with good warranty and support. For LCD, that would be what I would go with. Except I'm not, because my 10 year old made-in-Japan plasma was built to last, and just won't die. It will be an heirloom.

        • +10

An heirloom and a heater and a power hungry beast all in one. Source also have 10+ year old plasma that won't die. Picture still looks good.

        • Awesome, thanks mate. Funny I'm still running one of the last plasma too (PS50C7000 circa 2008) :)
But I wonder if those 100Hz panels would have the soap opera effect though…That's what stopped me from "upgrading"…

Ah not an old Panasonic by any chance? We still have a standard HD one going strong although it can't pick up full HD channels

          • @DannyBoy: Yup. Panasonic. Picture quality still great in a darkened room, and motion more smooth and clear than current LCD's.

          • +1

@DannyBoy: I have a Vodafone TV plugged into my Panasonic Plasma. It picks up all TV SD/HD channels and is a great Android TV device too. Highly recommended. Plasma still beats any LED TV! Keep it for as long as possible.

            • @vrsac: Vodaphone tv is great value and works very well with iptv. A must have!

            • @vrsac: Eh I actually disagree I've had cheap um cha LED TVs and mid tier current LEDs and can say it shits all over the plamas, much more vibrant colours

How do you transport this? It won't really fit in a hatchback will it?

    • Box trailer, or pay for delivery

    • +1

      It will fit on.

      • +1

Personally won't do so. Too risky on a roof rack, also the box is very heavy.

    • Should be transported standing up, not laying down.
      Pay for delivery… worth it.

    Who wants a vertical TV?

    • +14

Someone with a document to be viewed in portrait mode, or if they want to view a basketball player vertically.

    • +4

      Widescreen is so yesterday.

      It's all about tallscreen now.

  • And dont forget to buy toilet paper while you are there

  • My neck feels better now :)

Is this in QLD? I’ve been in forced isolation and a loss to the Utah Jazz on NBA 2K20 yesterday also meant a loss of my 75” TV panel so keen on this one.

  • Good deal, I got for 1240 from bing Lee eBay late last year

    • How did you get it for $1,240 last year.

Do you have the old link or oz bargain post for cross reference

  • +1

    "reduced from $2400" lol

  • Same price in SA Costco too

  • Amazing price!

  • Anyone know the price of Sony 65" X9500 at Costco at the moment?

  • so Sony or Samsung for TV now? My Sony KDL46X3100 which i paid $4700 in 2007 is refusing to die, but will have to make a decision when this day comes.

  • Is this all Coscos?

  • Costco Ringwood had 3-4 units available this morning, so assume it's all Costcos

Do not buy. This TV is not made in Japan. Very cheap low end electronics.

Oh you again. Same old rubbish everytime on TV posts.

  • Looks like they are about $1495 online everywhere. I wonder if IRL stores would beat this price.

    • They have to if they want to survive during this climate. I'm not surprised if JB offloads TGG during these times.

  • $1487 delivered on Amazon for those who need home delivery.

Can this be used a monitor for Working From Home?

  • Just for reference I priced matched an eBay deal for my parents at TGG Moore Park for my parents on the 28th of Feb. Got the 75RU7100 for $1195, HW-Q90R Soundbar for $950 and the Panasonic UB420 for $260. Best Deal I've ever done.

    • Can u post the slip for the TV??

    • Did you actually get that price of did they do some playing around with the price with all the other gear you bought on the invoice. I used to work in retail sales and that was common.

  • +1
