    Shit product, chews too much electricity, fan cannot be turned off.

      You should look at the Ovation 2 model, which does have on/off switch (Ovation 1 must be turned off at the wall). Ovation 2, with its' thermostat control, has a AA energy efficiency rating.

      We have a bigger, older IXL convection heater and it's really good (similar to http://www.homeandgarden.com.au/productDetail.cfm?product_id…). It heats up our lounge room quickly (with the sliding doors closed) and the thermostat then keeps it at that temp. We have insulation in the walls and ceiling so that would help as well.

      That said, I had to pull it apart recently as it kept turning itself off. There was a heap of dust and fluff inside and once I cleaned it all out, it has been working fine since.

    I used to have a convection heater around this size, would heat up my "large" bedroom in approx 10mins. I'm now in an apartment and don't have a need for one, but i would definately go for this with the two year warranty.

    Actually.. i think i might get one.. how mayn do you have left in stock?
