Really only 60 Hz panel for such a beast?

    • +5

That's at 4K. You have the option to play at 144Hz.

You'd be spending roughly half to literally 'top out' a desktop machine… kind of sobering!

Looking at the new Ryzen mobile processes, that wipe the floor with these overpriced laptops, I'd hold off if got the money to spend on this type of laptop.

They read the reviews on the new AMD chips, "DUMP ALL THOSE HIGHEND INTEL LAPTOPS NOW!!!!"

    • +4

I noticed the reviews of the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 today, with the AMD Ryzen 4900HS CPU taking a dump on the Intel I9 9980HK in the mothership. The 4900HS is only a 35W TDP CPU and not AMD's flagship.

I've always wondered if retailers like MWave can pick what they want to sell from manufacturers. If they can, I'd love to know the the justification for stocking such monstrosity. Hoping a random millionaire walks in and goes "Hey I'd like the most expensive laptop here! Oh look what's this?".

A lot of stuff is "in stock at supplier", so it's no harm for a computer store to list it and hope they get a sale. The supplier might only have a few total for all of Australia.

An item like this wouldn't be stocked in store.

I'd be worried about mistaking that inwin case for the nappy bin. It's pretty hard to think straight when you've got a screaming child covered in shit that woke you up at 2am.

What benefits does this personal computer offer over a train, which I could also afford?

    • +1

It can play more than just train simulator.

      Also runs Office.
