    Beware of Catch Connect, took a whole week to port my number. Never use it for your primary number or you will get screwed over.

      I used them with my primary number on and off plenty of times and never had a problem. Always took less than 30 minutes. Haven't done it this year though.

      Make sure your details are exactly the same (name and dob).

        exactly, your name including middle name and DOB must match exactly. never had a problem with catch connect, I do back and forth Catch-Kogan. I have two active numbers. I use same CR account, Same email addresses, not an issue till now.

      I am in the same boat. Used it for my main number. Up to 1 week now and still no port. Keep telling me they are working on it…

      For what it's worth this is only the second time this has happened from numerous times but still frustrating.

      Port out or in to Catch?

      Who were you with prior to Catch?? I have recently learnt that if you are porting between providers that use the same carrier (i.e in my case I was with Catch, and going to Amaysim, who both use Optus), it can take up to 2 weeks in some cases.

      If you go from Telstra to Optus for example however, you should get the transfer pretty much instantly -> an hour usually.

      For me, I have recently gone Telstra -> Catch, and it was up in 10 minutes. 2 weeks ago, I tried porting from Catch to Amaysim and it only completed yesterday morning.

      I ported into Catch earlier this week - it took 10mins after activating. Very happy.

      Same here. Porting from Circles Life and waiting for a week now. Terrible. And they're blaming the delay on the coronavirus.

      After reading the comments here, I activated my SIM today to port my number from Vaya to Catch Connect. As it's Optus to Optus I thought I better give myself 2 weeks leeway before end of month incase of delays. Turned out the porting only took a few hours. So I didn't need to activate my SIM so early. Maybe the delay is a case by case thing, or dependent on which company you're porting from.

        It is always fine for me. People got it wrong either due to DOB mismatch or belief in some very old stories.

        I have 4 numbers to port in/out every 1-3 months. Same network should take hours while different network should take minutes.

    Thanks. The last few deals have worked great for me as I'm with Woolies Mobile which has a data bank (data you don't use gets stored in a pool to be used after you run out of data), so I'm essentially saving 30-60GB for only $5 with this deal. Thanks!

    I promised the Mrs I wouldnt be porting our numbers across again and rather we'd stay with kogan, but at $4.90 net for 3 months each.. I can't bring myself not to.

      Do you have third party plugins installed on your desktop browser such as AdBlock, uBlock, Honey etc (all tracking killers)? Best to cancel then reorder via the Cashrewards App on 4G. This eliminates the plugins and any potential wifi/router/firewall issues.

    I just bought the sim deal and logged into my dashboard on Catch Connect. It displays a new number. I haven't yet tried activating and won't be doing so until the sim arrives, so unsure whether the activating process offers porting. My current service is with Amaysim.
    Can someone confirm if this deal allows number porting.

    does anyone know what is the delay times with the porting mobile numbers eg from kogan to catch? pre C19, it was less than 1-2 days, not sure what timeframe is now?

      It has always been a few hours max for me in the past. I did Optus to Boost (Telstra) last weekend and it took 10 minutes. I don't think there's a delay due to the virus.

      yes, 30 day expiry, if you renew before the 30 day expiry, minutes will rollover to next month

      Tracking is almost instant for Catch Connect. If you haven't received tracking, I suggest you may have 3rd party plugins installed such as AdBlock/uBlock/Honey which take attribution away from Cashrewards. Maybe even an issue with router/firewall config that may be blocking something at your end. I suggest using the CR App via 4G if you have tracking issues. Also, please check your CR acct directly in case the email landed in spam/junk folder.
