    DO NOT FLUSH these.

Dont't know how true this sits though

      • +10

It's as true as the China virus numbers in China

        • +1

What China Virus? There is no China virus, just as absolutely, positively nothing happened on April 15, 1989

Company that makes and sells flushable wipes tells you that it's ok to buy, use and flush wipes.

        Checks out.

Sydney Water et al would say otherwise. Kimberley Clark are not the party spending millions on removing the fat-bergs created from these and other waste products from our sewers and waterways.

… Instead, Kimberly-Clark is a company that is prepared to spend millions of dollars on a good defence team to defend these charges in the courts though… Could it be that they consider that it is their civic duty to keep our barristers and senior counsel's in work (allegedly).

      • Gretta will hate you. Just dont flush these down the toilet. How hard is it to do? Are you that lazy?

I guess not since thousands still went to Bondi after the gov said not to.

        • That's one fierce Turd.

    • Hey if we can't trust flushable advice from Turd, who can we trust?

Seems, in the federal court only the softest buns are sitting there and they can only use flushable wipes, why else would ACCC lose, https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-06-28/consumer-watchdog-los…

Plenty of info saying they cause blockages, yet the court say, nah, she'll be right mate.

  • +3

thanks mate cant find tp so this will help

edit cancelled just did some reading on these and seems they arent really flushable.

  • +9

It's funny how they can keep selling these despite the water services saying that these things should not be flushed.

    Good luck to your pipes.

  • No flush

When the ACCC is taking them to court do we want to be publishing this to the community?,

  • +2

Please don't flush these and clog the sewers

  • +5

These will block your pipes and the communities.

Do not flush them, put them in the bin.

  • +4

Wet wipes don't disintegrate like toilet paper does. Dispose of these in the rubbish not in the toilet.

Flush these and wait for the plumber's bill.

  • +11

Advertising these as flushable displays the flagrant disregard for the problem caused by them in the sewage system. We should not be supporting such products

    • +1

I agree, these are not flushable. How they're getting away with calling these flushable I do not know.

  • +5

Here's a pic of just how much different products disintegrate when flushed (spoiler - don't buy these "flushable" wipes).

  • +1

Technically you can flush it but doesn't mean it won't clog your pipe

    • Yep, I think that's how they get away with it.

    • Just like about anything else that you could flush. The only way they can get the message through is if people stop buying it.

I don’t believe that these actually cause the blockages - the plumbers simply see wet wipes (not flushable) and clogged sewers and blame these. These literally disintegrate 30 seconds after use.

Have some brains please. I can use a product like No Skids and apply to 4 ply Quilton Gold and it’s ok, yet this wipe that virtually disintegrates in your hand is not?

Yeah and the World Health Organisation recommends not to use Face Masks - yet people are asymptotic for ages and the Australian government recommends their use if you have symptoms. The government then points to WHO as saying you don’t need masks.

    • +1

Last time I tried these out, they definitely didn't seem to disintegrate, and tests on 'flushable' wipes haven't backed that up.

Yeah and the World Health Organisation recommends not to use Face Masks - yet people are asymptotic for ages

I fully agree that the WHO's statement around face masks doesn't make any sense. The word is 'asymptomatic' BTW, as in 'not symptomatic.'

    • +1

They do NOT disintegrate after 30 seconds they takes hours to breakdown.

    • Have some brains please

Do you have any proof that these don't cause blockages, or is this just a hunch?

  • +1

As someone who spends their days dealing with the problems these things cause, they should be banned.

  • Hm, interesting…
However, we also make Huggies® baby wipes and Kleenex® wet wipes that are not flushable and carry a prominent Do Not Flush logo. Kimberly-Clark is committed to helping consumers understand what is – and is not – safe to flush. Please read the label on all wipe products and dispose of as directed.
