Great little game well worth the full price let alone at half price.

"Golf Story combines the sheer excitement of golf…."

And if you love that dad joke there are plenty more in game ;)

How much is the Tiger Woods add-on?

    • +1

It's more expensive if you want the post-divorce version of him

      • Does it include the prenup power up?

Have to say, I didn't enjoy this much as the game went on, but I've never particularly enjoyed sports games. My main gripe is that the challenges were quite difficult to complete with lack of consistency from the wind (and my inability to gauge my shots well).

    • There’s golf in there?! (As shame element, I mean?)

      • Haha! *game element, oops!

      • There's no shame in playing golf :)

          Is that you, Donald?

    • I felt the same, I actually didn't finish sadly but I got really close, I should just boot it up and finish it off.
I had no worries with the golfing itself, it was moreso the story that dragged a bit, I felt like it could've benefitted from being a little shorter. Great game though!

    • I felt like they could have explained the games mechanics a lot better than they did.

Good find OP - support Australian games!

    • Bought it just for this reason. Now going to play golf for the first time.

Just about the primary reason I bought a switch.

    Absolutely amazing game

Great game from an aussie developer

  • +5

Is this as good as Lee Carvallo's Putting Challenge?

    • +8

No but it's better than Bonestorm.

  • Quite a fantastic game, it's an RPG with golf as a mechanic, and a witty one at that.

    Brilliant game, highly recommended!

Excellent game, worth it at full price. It's primarily a sports game with some RPG mechanics. The writing is fun, some of the challenges are quite tough by the end of the game.

The developer is Australian, which might sway some people too.

  • Great game, can't wait for the sequel Sports Story coming out later in the year.

    • +1

Loved Golf Story, now I'm stoked to hear about Sports Story!

Definitely recommend this game. Reminds me in some ways of Mario Tennis that came out on Gameboy Colour - great combination of RPG and sports game.

      • And erm, Mario Golf on the GBC :-p

  • I highly recommend this game.

  • Bought this game on a whim, absolutely do not regret it

  • +3

This game is so good it tricked me into playing a golf game.

  • There's a sequel due for release middle of the year.
Might be worth waiting for a combo deal or discounts closer to the release.

Edit: I'm pretty lazy so won't make a post but Transistor and Bastion are on sale on the US store for $3.99 and $2.99.

These have been posted elsewhere already :)

Thanks didn't pop up on my homepage :)

At $11 why wait. This game's a total banger.

      • +1

100s of games on the PC backlog which includes AC Odyssey, Mass Effect and Witcher trilogy and PS4 backlog. Not to mention Breath of the Wild.

    • Have I got to create a US nintendo account to purchase Bastion?
Couldn't seem to work out how to buy this from my standard account.
      Any advice much appreciated.

It's on the AU shop so no need.

Normally, you just have to change regions. PC is easier to change but I've had trouble finding items to buy. Apparently having money in the wallet makes it difficult to transfer regions.

  • Wonderful Game Highly recommended even for full price! Plus it's an Australian Developer!

  • Are there any other Switch exclusives on sale currently?

    • +1

Go here and have look yourself.

      • Useless, that just shows a list of 600+ switch games, no way to just show platform exclusives, guess i will manually search for each game…

        • I usually sort it via popular which shows me more Switch Exclusives.

  • I will always upvote this game

  • You have entered power drive.

  • ok i bought it,i have heard many times its good but always just stayed away

  • My favourite golf game was in the NDS Japanese only game called ‘Powerful golf’

Easy to pick up what’s what despite being in Japanese.

Also had a riveting story mode

    • Thanks, will give it a go.
