  • Just don't let it touch your teeth.

    • Why

cuz of all the sugar its very very bad for them, thats why even the brand recommends "shooting it directly to the back of your throat"

That's what my girlfriend tells me as well.

        • I'm guessing it's more the acids (e.g. citric acid). There's quite a lot in the powdered form and I guess these are similar.

          • @jazoom: Nah, it's the sugar

            • @teacherer: Why do you say that? Acid is much worse for teeth. The main reason sugar is a problem is because the bacteria that feed on it produce a small amount of acid.

I'm trying to understand your reasoning here. As a science teacher I'm sure you'll have a source for me to read.

              • @jazoom: This. I've always been told when I was a kid sugar was the issue. Then I learnt from dentists as an adult it's the bacteria that feed from sugar and release acid. Hence why flossing matters.

            • -2

@teacherer: Acid erosion is the worse factor here. Sugar is bad but as long as you brush and floss and go to dentist reguarly, should be ok.

You can fix cavities with fillings but you cant really fix erosion.

    Wouldn't pay $30 for cordial.

    • It’s got electrolytes

      • I've seen the people who drink these. Electrolytes aren't helping.

600ml with s&s it works out to be $1.93 per bottle, Coles and Woolworths is around $1.70 - $1.75 per bottle.

    • Yeah, Coles/Woolies always have them 50% off

    • lucky we have the comments section, was going to buy if I didn't see your comment! Always remember them to be about $2 supermarket on sale for some reason! Also can never remember the best price for UpnGo to save my life even though I've been told more than 5 times!

      • I bought 2 slabs of these ( on separate occasions )
For $21 just a month ago and even seen it for $18 odd
        Dollars in the past.

Coles currently have maximus on special for $2 each and are 1L
