$10 Voucher / Postage Refund (No Min Spend) if Non Delivery by Guaranteed Date @ eBay

1760

Here's another OzReminder, Credit to urbancartel for the original post

With eBay Guaranteed Delivery, you can search for items that will arrive by a specific date, including the next 1-2 days. If the item you bought doesn't arrive by the guaranteed delivery date, we'll make it right.

Update August 2020

We’re Temporarily Disabling eBay Guaranteed Delivery

Sellers and carriers may be facing new challenges in fulfilling eBay orders and, so we want to give them time to do this safely and securely to ensure you can still shop on eBay with confidence. With this in mind we are temporarily disabling eBay Guaranteed Delivery.

This means you will no longer see eBay Guaranteed Delivery dates on site. Instead you'll see an estimated delivery date which is calculated based how long a seller takes to handle an order and their chosen carrier. You'll still receive all your items safely and securely - they just might take a little longer to arrive.

The Guaranteed delivery filters (e.g. for 3-day delivery) will still be visible onsite, however these won't return any search results while the program is disabled. If you have any eGD items which were ordered previously, you will still be able to claim a postage cost refund, $10 coupon or return if that item is delivered late.

        what??

Maybe long running deals should auto repost to the main page every six months?

        Excellent idea. Suggest it here.

My Becks beer was delivered late from CUB but I cannot see the option to report late delivery on my order details.

    • I think you'd need to message them directly

    • Same here, you can report it from your purchase history overview page. I got a $10 voucher valid for 30 days from issue.

      • in purchase history, did you click "i didn't receive it"? and then it forwarded you to the delivery status?

When I buy stuffs from CUB I would consider it comes with an additional $10 discount. Late EVERY SINGLE TIME! And I am in Melbourne. They always post the tracking number pretty soon and took forever to pass the parcel to Auspost.

  • I cannot see anything as the listing is removed.

Goto the delivery notification and click on more options, delivery was late, to get the $10

  • Anyone know who pays for the coupon? Seller?

edit: looks like eBay cover it.

We’ll automatically opt you into this program, if your listings are eligible. You’ll need to guarantee to dispatch items in 0-1 days. We’ll then add
Australia Post’s delivery time to the buyer’s region to your stated handling time to calculate delivery time.

With this program, you won’t incur any fees from late deliveries. We’ll also protect your seller standard as part of our Seller Protection Policy.

    • Thats only for "Handing time" version (ebays spelling - not mine).

Door to Door EBGD quotes "Make sure your carrier can deliver to the regions you’ve selected, within the stated time frames. If the item doesn’t make it to your buyer on time, we may charge a fee."

As a worker in the freight industry, I feel like this "deal" is a little exploitative right now?

    B2C is massive atm

    • +2

agreed. i know some people will argue that eBay can afford to take the hit, but i can't help thinking that either the sellers or logistics companies are going to cop it one way or the other, and it's not fair on them.

Time to buy stuff from China and then get my free $10 voucher…

Any recommendations of cheap lots sent with non-registered mail?

    Thanks for the reminder!

  • I found many items being removed from the gauratee d delivery list.

  • This is unfair for eBay and shipping companies. With the current situation my delievery got delayed by 1 week. It’s not ebay’s or seller’s Fault. They will lose a lot of money. They should remove this offer until covid is over.

Thanks OP. Got a $10 voucher when my free delivery was late.

  • Just tried this but looks like complaint goes straight to seller. Must come out of their pockets. Feeling bad now, may send my apologies after i receive their response.

Had two claims, had two $10.00 coupons added to my account just logged in now and they are gone. I'll wait 24hrs and see if it comes back

    • Mine disappeared from my account on Friday and are still gone. Have yours come back? I wrote my coupon down but when I go to use it, it comes up as "Unfortunately, this code no longer works. Please continue with your order." and is definitely not expired till 5/5/2020.

      • Nah still gone, guess they'll say something like:

Due to the current changing world climate we made promises that we couldn't keep, please note the fine print where didn't say "no take backsies"
Sorry you had to wait for 3 weeks for your order thats in the suburb next to you blah blah suck it long….

        • Hmmm they just came back
