$429.00 BNE500BKS Nespresso Creatista Uno Coffee Machine + $100 Voucher + $90 Coffee Credit + Free Delivery @ David Jones

160

Howdie! I was looking for a coffee machine to ease my quarantine days I found this for special on the Myer website. Didnt pull the trigger and they got sold out. Refusing to give in on a bargain, I deep dived and found this even better deal through DJ's. The next lowest price on this I could find was ebay at $467.09 with delivery. Coffee Machine seems to be highly rated but with a few comments regarding unavoidable and excessive time descaling.

Free Standard Delivery On Orders Over $50 (Storewide)

$100 DJ's gift voucher deal valid until 31/05/2020 or until stocks last.
- This offer cannot be redeemed with Afterpay as payment.
- Gift card expires 1 month after the date of issue.
- If the purchased item is returned, the gift must also be returned or its value will be deducted from the refund.

Nespresso mothers day promotion available until 28/06/2020 or until stocks last.
*Note DJ's website says up to $70 for the promotion but confirmed its $90 on Nespresso website: https://www.nespresso.com/au/en/order/machines/original/crea…

FYI I didnt see any Cashrewards or Cashback available for DJ's at this time.

$429 for a capsule coffee machine is a bit extravagant for me actually.

    • Put a $100 and on top andget the Breville 870

    • I've got the model above, these are fantastic machines. Expensive, but they work great if a capsule machine is what you want. Frother works well with Almond Milk.

  • Good find OP.. Not sure if I should get this or wait for Creatista Plus deal.. Feels like the additional settings for milk froth and heat + the screen would be worth the small upgrade.

    • The creatista plus would only give you more tweaks in froth and temperature. Both do lowest temp of milk at 55°C and max temp at 75°C, both would give you same flat white and max froth, it’s just the crea plus has more inbetween setups. Go for the uno before it sells out

I have the plus. It's a great machine, but it keeps rusting - think I'm on to my 4th one in 3 years.

        • +1

Where does yours rust out of interest? I’ve had mine for a year and not had any issues.

  • I just bought this last weekend (fearing that deliveries might be stopped by now) for $549 from MYER with no vouchers! :(

    • Buy from DJ and return at Myer.

      • Already used it and threw away the box. Plus all physical MYER stores have now officially closed so I’ll have to do it via online 😅

        • Myer actually had this same deal but for $439.20. Im not sure when it started but I think it got sold out yesterday or perhaps the day before. Still maybe that gives you some room to negotiate considering how recent you purchase is..? They should at least throw in the voucher.. I hope!

  • isn't the nespresso subscription 50$/18-months and getting the machine for $250 worth? I have been on nespresso for 5 years now and intend to keep going on. All the credit can be used towards any nespresso products including another machine (if you don't drink that much coffee)

    • Used to be $1 on the $70 a month plan (12 month commitment), but pretty sure they don't offer that anymore …

    • +2

I dont believe you can use the credit for another machine. I specifically asked them via their online support channel about that a couple of weeks ago when I was considering moving to a subscription. The answer I got back was

"With our Coffee Subscription plan, you can choose a tiered amount of credit to be put towards your account per month. You also get the benefit of an additional 10% of credit, plus free postage along with this.
However, the Coffee Subscription credit can only be used towards coffee or accessory orders either online, visit one of our Boutiques or over the phone with our team.
I hope this assists you with your enquiry."

  • I have the pro version of this at work. Works fantastic.

  • I've got this machine the results are pretty good for a home made morning coffee. Works out to be about 3 mins work and $1 a cup for a single shot.

  • Decided to grab a second one for the office and they are out of stock …

  • Deal looks to be back on, just bought one at $429.

No mention of the gift card in the checkout process, so I've taken a screenshot of the offer just in case.

    • Thats interesting, the page is up but I cant see the coffee machine when I navigate there manually.

      • Just navigated to the page again and it's gone back to $549.

Hopefully they honour purchases, got the confirmation email showing $429.

        • +1

Yep it’s showing $429 for me too and checked out. There was no $100 gift card in the shopping cart either for me - so hoping it just comes with the machine and we don’t have to chase for it!

    • Hey mate - Just wondering if you ended up getting the gift card?

My coffee machine arrived without the card, went through their live chat and it's been escalated to their resolutions team

      • Due to arrive tomorrow, will update. Let us know if it gets resolved properly.

      • Machine arrived today, didn't have the gift card with it. I have emailed David Jones. Did you get a response from the resolutions team?

        • Cheers for the update :)
Nope, I still haven’t received a response back yet - will most likely call and chase up on Friday as I figure a week while be long enough for someone to back with a response

      • I have just discussed this with the live chat and received the response:
"so under the offer, it is while stocks last for the Gift Cards as there is certain allocation for the offer. It looks like that was exhausted. Its is not listed on the order confirmation either. I do apologise about that."
It's still listed on the website as a current promotion so this is a flat out lie. I said I'll be seeking a full refund and will be reporting for false advertising. Is anyone aware of the best course of action to take in this case?

        • Thought I would try again and called customer service. After getting through the long wait times, the rep was very helpful and has sent through a $100 e-gift card as a goodwill gesture. There appears be issues with this promotion, one part of which is the date, which incorrectly reads 2019. He has brought it up with the marketing team.
The live chat staff seem to be vastly worse and less able to assist than the customer service line. It was a 2 hour wait on hold though.

          • @justin89h: Thanks for the update on this, will try calling them instead!

          • @justin89h: Just wanted to say thanks again mate.
Managed to get through to the call centre this morning and they offered to send a good will e-gift cars within 48 hours.
He seemed a bit annoyed that the offer is still available on the site!

This deal isn't expired and is still available.
Possibly some issues with the website occasionally showing full price.

Additionally there is a $15 AMEX credit now available for David Jones (that I missed).

Taking all gift cards and credit into account makes this the cheapest price ever available for this machine:
    429-100-90-15 = $224

    • Well done, unexpired the deal! :)
