      Yes. Pretty sure I've played around with this camera before and pentesting it. From memory, it ran an unsecured busybox environment and master password was just sitting in firmware file. Like all other Chinese branded camera beware of its weak secuirty and backdoors.

          Yes and No. If UPNP is disabled and your firewall is configured correctly then port binding attacks should not occur. Is your Blue Iris opened to the internet? To be safe you could place your BI on a private VLAN and use OPEN VPN to connect to it to view it. If a device is compromised on your network like phone or computer it could still act as a gateway to accessing your IP CAM using DIRB tools. You could also change the busybox login and give the Genbolt a private DNS that has no internet access. To be sure.

            @No Username: Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Yes, upnp is disabled. Blue Iris is not open to the Internet. I have an Openvpn server on my router and I have to VPN in to my LAN to access Blue Iris. I thought this was secure until I read your post. I don't know whether my router supports VLANs and will check this out. I don't suppose simply putting all cameras and BI on a different subnet will help? I'm not sure what busybox is… Are you saying to change the genbolt's login password or something else? As for the Genbolt's DNS entry, can I choose manual configuration instead of DHCP and give it a bogus DNS entry? Thanks again.

              @gomango: I'm to not too well versed in subnetting but my Main Router (192.168.0.1) can communicate with devices on (192.168.1.1). Busybox is an environment that runs utilities on a Linux based system. I should've said change the SSH password as opposed to busy box, my mistake. In terms of DNS, I guess you could type in anything as long as it doesn't belong to anyone.

                @No Username: Thanks again. What you have described as the main router being on 192.168.0.x and some devices being on 192.168.1.x is exactly putting them on different subnets. Is this what you meant when you said private VLAN? Now I need to work out how to find and change the SSH password.

    These are not deals, especially given the regularity of the posts by Vincent Wang (genbolt cams) and Alisha Grant (Jooan cctv cams). This company uses OzBargain simply as an advertising platform, I have no idea why this is allowed.

    @Vincentwang2018 Can you please provide instructions about how to change the SSH password to avoid the security backdoor issues with Genbolt and Jooan IP cameras? You may get more sales if people feel they can patch the security holes.
