Exetel Fiber install YES or NO

Hi, friends is looking to install Exetel fiber but I havent heard of them.. Anyone had good/bad dealings?

Area is Gregory Hills near Camden, Oran Park….

    Exetel fibre is probably your only fixed line option. What does the NBN website say?

      The OP has only been on Ozbargain for almost ten years, give him/her a break. It takes decades to learn how to search.

    They have been around for a while, their customer service is rubbish from my experience. They were a pain when dealing with them for our work internet + my personal mobile plan, especially when trying to cancel. They would cut of access but continue billing for months after.

    But they are also pretty cheap and that's what ozbargain is about

  • Worst customer service ever years ago. Worse than TPG and that's saying something. They might be better these days by why bother when there's plenty of other providers that offer good services and customer service.

  • My NBN is with exetel. The speed is pretty good for the price and pray you don't have any problem cause it it will take forever to connect you to a customer service person to help you out.

    • I'm with them too. Speeds are generally good. I did a speed test today, and only get 25/4. i am on 50/20 plan. I think it might be related to the isolation, and higher usage.

      Regarding the price, they aren't cheap anymore. $59 for 25/5, $79 for 50/5, $99 for 100/40.

  • Exetel has one of the worst customer services I have ever received. After 15 years of ADSL with them now moved over to NBN with another provider. Sent them an email for the cancellation of the service but they only processed the request 5 days later and received an email stating the 30 days given notice starting from the processing day. Seriously??? So I called them and requested clarification. At the end they say will correct it and email me with the correction and "Hung up" on me. Have not received the email yet, but the whole experience of cancelling the service, the way they talked to you like I am at fault and being hung up on the phone which make you think twice before signing up with. There is pretty of other cheaper and better service providers. Good luck to you if you still want to sign up with them.
