    Well that was fun. OOS.

  • How quick???

  • Regular soap is antibacterial.
    Don't fall for the marketing…?
    lol.

    • That’s not true

      • +9

        you're not true.

        • +9

Regular soap is said to be better than these alcoholic hand washes for the corona virus due to the way the soap foams up and how it interacts with fat / your skin.

          • -7

@lonewolf: regular soap doesn't kill good bacteria , when antibacterial kills 'em all

            • @The Milk Man: I am sure you noticed they always underline they’d kill 99%, cause you never know…

            • @The Milk Man: No soap kills 'em all. A soap doesn't know to differentiate between 'good bacteria' and otherwise. Please don't assume things when it comes to your health. I don't even know where to start with addressing your comments.

    • I think it's more the fact of $3.69 for a litre of liquid soap delivered fast and free?
If you can find some non-antibacterial for $3.69 a litre delivered you'll have a lot of interest.

      • -1

I cant seem to find any liquid hand soap anywhere, antibacterial or not. Also delivery is not free, you're still paying for it in some way (either at purchase or via Prime membership).

        • +1

Well, if you are going to be like that, wouldn’t that be more incentive to shop only on Amazon assuming you were paying for prime?
          However: few holes
          a) $39 spend means free delivery
          b) there’s free prime trials anyway
          c) some products have free delivery without prime

Honestly even if you were just paying for Amazon Prime solely for free deliveries, it would be worth it.

          • -1

@pennypincher98: I am paying for Prime. And for items like this, the stock levels are so low you wouldn't make it to $39, and would have to buy something else to get free delivery (meaning you'd be spending more than you intended to anyway, so not free), or you'd have to pay for delivery if under $39 (unless yes, you're some of the few that are trialling).

    • Regular soap is antibacterial.

      No, it isn't.

Go look at the ingredients list on the refill bottle of soap you're using now.
Most "regular" soaps don't have Triclosan, Triclocarban, Benzalkonium Chloride or other common antibacterial agents in them and even a good amount of so-called antibacterial soaps don't either.

The act of hand-washing with soap (whether antibacterial or not) and hot water works to mechanically remove germs and contaminants from your hands and the surfactant properties of soap help draw that unwanted material off the skin and into the water; it doesn't actually physically destroy the bacteria.

      • Soap does kill viruses and bacteria to a degree, but you're right in that the washing away is how you get the full effect, and that it won't kill them as well as other things.

      • Wrong, regular soap actually destroys the bacteria. Watch this for a detailed explanation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LKVUarhtvE

  • And done…

  • That's quick

    That lasted a while.

  • Loving these amazon deals today :/

  • Toying with us!!

  • Ok ok I take it back Ozbargain you are most definitely not getting slack 😂 sold it in 90 seconds wow!

  • Just buy Body Wash with a surfectant (most). Just as effective and readily available…

  • How do you all find these deals? I keep signing up for updates to OOS stuff, but it seems like the items are not “static” items (ie one item code for a specific product sold by Amazon via Prime), but rather “dynamic” (lots of item numbers for the same product), so infinitely difficult to “track”.

    • They are on Amazon 24/7

  • seems like it was all gone in 2 mins……wondering how many did they sell. or maybe someone just bought all..

    Back in stock

  • Just go to other sellers on Amazon and it's there for $3.69 - just ordered some now :)

  • antibacterial!

    • Yes, and because it's a soap, it also is a viricide if you wash your hands well enough with it!

The coles soap refills were plentiful at 3 coles I went to the past 2 days, I think a lot of these panic bought items are really truly stabilising, even pasta I saw some filled up, still only toilet paper, but that should tone down soon.

Keep checking people. Keeps coming in and out of stock, but I've managed to get lucky.

  • I use the lime one because they smell great! Not sure about what in there makes it antibacterial.
By the way, Coles have their own branding ones too; I got 2 pumps for the family last week.

  • Back in stock as of now!
