    Are the core watches too huge for an everyday type watch. 49mm is huge right?

      Most Garmin watches are 40-45mm diameter. I had the Forerunner 235 which is 45x45 and it was quote chunky but not uncomfortable.
      The Suunto's listed here are a few years old (2017 era). They are not as pretty as the newer Garmin models but are very solid watches with great battery life.

    Does anyone have a recommendation for something smallish like the Fitbit Charge 3 that isn't a Fitbit? I've got one and I hate it, want to replace it with something else that is <35mm if possible.

    Suunto watches are very bad, they don't last long. I thought they were good until I got one.

      I had a core for 8 years (until it was stolen), I now have the spartan sport HR and it’s been amazing.

      The first Core I bought, had the stuck button issue, but they replaced it under warranty and it's been good since, 2+ years.
      One thing I wasn't impressed about was the strap, but bought a decent one on eBay, and it's lasted much longer than the original strap.

      The prices are higher even after the 15% discount. The white suunto 9 is back in stock on the site and its $309.99 v $499 on ebay store before the discount.

    Anyone own newer Suunto 5 or 9? Heard they changed GPS chipset from SIRF to Sony and wondering whether the newer ones are any better.
    Basically wanting to know how the newer models compare against Ambit3 in terms of tracking.
