      Damn. I was thinking of buying a PS4 Pro but if it can't play by 4K blurays. There's probably no technical reason why it can't play it other than licensing.

      At least my Xbox One S can play 4K bluray.

        A 4k UHD Blu-ray drive is different to a normal Blu-ray drive. So there's definitely a technical reason why it can't play them :P

      Lol i just talked myself out of this also, after hanging out for a deal like this too.

      I just commented on the JB thread, that i had this ready to go in my cart. I'm not a console guy but TLOU has been at the top of my list for YEARS. Lucky i did a quick search and saw that Sony has just delayed Part2 from next month to 'indefintely.' May as well wait for the PS5 if they're delaying it till then.

        Second hand man
        Some bloke wanted an Xbox one x, so I went and picked one up for $320
        Drove 5 mins to this other guys house
        And swapped
        He said he keeps going back to Xbox and had an S but wanted an X
        The unit basically looks brand new, got lucky as both guys were mid 30s and really nice and I went to their homes so not dodgy
        And he threw in a/creed, but kept Spiderman to sell because it was console to console 🤣🤣🤣

    I strongly recommend everyone should replace the internal 1 TB HDD with a Samsung SSD 860 and use the 1 TB as an external storage. My internal HDD failed after 6 months, all the pre-installed games were corrupted and can't be fixed. I have to reinstall everything again that cost time.

      I've had my PS4 Pro for over 3yrs and no problem with the hard drive. Like any device with a hard drive it's entirely chance based how long the drive will last, sometimes you get DOA hard drive in a machine in 3 weeks. Earlier this year someone brought me a laptop to look at it that had a dead Samsung 960 Evo m.2 SSD and it was only a year old.

    Its the best price i've seen on a Pro console for a while but with the PS5 coming out in <12 months it doesn't make sense that they are still this expensive. I own one so no malice, just my thoughts, think they should be max $350 but presume they may be selling enough to warrant the higher price…. Two cents for free :)

      For some people this price may definitely be worth it, even if it is just to tie them over until the PS5. Given the current climate of having to stay at home rising, this is good value considering you'll be able to trade in your PS4 Pro toward the 5 at the end of this year for at close to $250+ (with level 4).
