    I make cat5 and serial on a weekly bases and I can tell you this is a waste of your time, not money because its almost free

    1. You still need a crimpper which will come with a stripper in most cases
    2. You will be paying for the extra cable that this ends up stuffing
    • This could still be useful for soldering.

      I don't remember having to strip wire to make Ethernet cables, just having to trim the wires to the same length before inserting into the plug and then crimping to make the prongs pierce the insulation on the wires. Unless you have different kinds of socket and cable maker?
