OK - I know not everyone is down with the whole "free" Amazon apps, however…

This is probably one of their best free apps so far. Grabbed it earlier and it worked straight off ; )

  • Nearby direct printing via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth without PC
  • Nearby printing to PC or Mac shared printers
  • Remote printing (you need to have PC or Mac with PrinterShare
desktop application installed on your computer)

eversince i had amazon apps, i had like 20 paid apps already. just once a day, slowly you will have lots of paid apps
just got airport mania 2 yesterday. it is so fun

    • oh man it is damn addictive. I even played it during my lunch.

And the dumb@sses who neg because they aren't able to make an account, there's a reason for that and it in the starting of this sentence.

      • touché

        • Yeah best game ever! But i want to change my ROM on my phone but dont know where the save games of air port mania goes. Anyone know where the save games are for Aiport Mania? Up to stage 4 with all perfect scores don't want to have to redo!

        • back it up with titanium backup

        • +2

you forget the app stores allows you to synchronise your apps as well. So you keep getting updates unlike app packs which are just apks.

Also even though these are free, the developers are still getting money hence you are supporting developers to make better apps

  • Sweet ,just signed up and all works brilliantly ,much beeter than the other printer app that i was using before

  • What printers did you guys manage to get it to work with. I've got a Fuji Docuprint CP205 w which it can't find drivers for. Any suggestions?

  • I got my Epson Workforce 630 working, but I had to use drivers for the 615…maybe try the drivers for a similar model?

  • Recommended. Works perfectly with both my WiFi printers (Canon and Lexmark). No complicated setup, just search, select and use. Why isn't it this easy to setup WiFi printing from my Win7 or Mac PC/laptop which both need an array of special manufacturer drivers to work. Not this app, it just works.

    • try linux(ubuntu for beginners), it just works except if you're playing games

  • JUST a question… has anyone updated the Amazon App Store yet?
TY for the link for amazon app store… finally gave in since the new release for Xperia x10, the phone is no longer laggy so I'll start using apps on it haha.

    • Yep, updated and it still works

      • i thought updating it made it not work anymore? i've never updated because i thought they fixed the hack in future versions

    • Yes, I updated and it still works.

    • Yep same - updated and is still fine.

    • come on man, Xperia X10 is an awesome phone, never seen it lag

      • Then obviously you havent had one..
It wasnt as snappy with the firmware before 3.0, you could definately feel the lag with the keyboard and camera. Xperia x10 is a very sturdy phone, dropped it accidentally like 10 times now, completely functional :)

        • really? I had one for about a month, my friend went to S Africa and didn't want to take this one with him and took an el cheapo.
I found it pretty responsive and no lags whatsoever(except timescape but that was due to the sheer number of contacts), this was the beginning of this year.

          @Spawnpoint
Well I dunno.. I abuse virgin's free virgin-to-virgin texts alot so I guess that might have clogged my phone up?
I noticed after archiving the texts with backupandrestore then clearing them out did help a lot though..

  • I havent signed up for amazon apps but why do people not like them?

    • cos some people can't get it to work and are super jelly.

When will people learn. Just type name of app you want into google eg. printershare mobile premium apk
goto link that will be on file host like mediafire or filestube.
    Download install done.

    • +1

and in the process get some malware that some chump uploaded calling it printershare mobile premium apk to get all ur personal details?

I'd rather not considering the amount of info we have on our phones these days. please dont take the risk. well i wouldnt atleast.

      • yeah i would consider using false information to download off amazon for free the same as downloading it illegally off the net. Its probably less risky than illegally downloading music and movies (which a lot of people do). If you're smart you can avoid the malware (file size, identify dodgy links, using forum links where others have tried it out, virus scanning etc). If not, then good for you. At least someone is paying for it.

        • Have you ever used someone else's coupon or EPP code to get a discount?

Have you ever re-registered as a new user to get a discount or freebie?

Have you ever used a different email address for a discount?

Have you ever used or attended a friends & family sale when you're not actually friends or family?

The fact is, Amazon are very, very well-aware of people doing the above. They can VERY easily geo-restrict it (like how you can't watch hulu here) or test the card (put a 1c hold for a day, for example), but they choose not to. It spreads their name and increases their profile.

The app writers know it very well too - they're not dumb. Yet, they agreed to have their apps listed for free. Outright piracy on the other hand, is just that. Try ask them what they think of you registering as a fake user on Amazon vs you pirating their app illegally.

        • But there is a place to buy virtual US card, just to verify!
cost like $5. and you can get apps like tons of apps…for like eternity…

        • @eug:
The makers of the app of the day get paid by Amazon for every download of their app. Which is why they agreed to it of course >.<

        • @eug, then why have any restrictions at all?

Either they are trying to dodge Oz laws or don't want to claim liability for Australians if something goes horribly wrong. While it's true that a few apps may be region specific, the majority of them are universal and do not need restrictions.

This indirect marketing puts many people off, I told my mate about it and he wasn't bothered register himself so I had to do it for him(the things you do for friends)

        • The restrictions could be there because it's a new store and they want to make sure they iron out all the kinks before releasing it to the rest of the world. e.g. the iTunes store was US-only for over a year before it opened in europe, and it took two and a half years to reach Australia. Even Canada only got it nearly 2 years after it opened in the US.

  • So, it only works with wifi printers?

  • Just an update. I know this is strange. I was able to download PrinterShare with my Asus Transformer from Amazon AppStore without registering a fake account. Now I have a shortcut on my home screen. How could this be possible?

    • You used your regular Australian details?
Might be Amazon opening to the Oz Market

  • +1

Yes, I used my Australian details. I just received an email from Amazon:

  • +1

    • Same here - everything fine using Aussie email address. Discovered by accident the other day. Full access to Android apps, but not to the Amazon MP3 store. Kindle books are fine too.

  • +1

I'm now downloading Plants vs Zombies. Great

    • Yup!!! Just bought my plants vs zombies :P yaaaaay i can have zombies for lunch now :P

  • I just tried logging in to the Amazon App Store with my regular account. It works! PrinterShare isn't free anymore, but I can download the current free app of the day for free.

  • +1

Does anyone want to upload the .apk file for us lazy people? (^_^)/~

  • +1

Perhaps the OP can remove the link to making a fake amazon account because this works on legit Australian accounts now :)

  • Legit Aussie accounts no longer work. Could be a sign that they'll really do it soon - perhaps with the release of the Android based Kindle??

    • Illegit "American" accounts also no longer work :P
      Just sayin'.

      • Have they been clamping down? My "American" one still works.
