    Don't risk it…

If there are porting problems, you'll get no help…

    • +2

      That's NOT true.
It didn't port the first time for me, called, the guy on the phone sorted it for me EASILY.

      1 month into my 12months!

It's fun to hate, hard to boast , isn't it?

        1 month into my 12months!

A month ago it wasn't such a bid deal, now it is.

        • I ported my mum to boost online. There was an issue with details at the other end, 25 minutes on hold with boost followed by a 5 minute conversation and it was sorted today.

    • Definitely sounds like something worth considering. Nothing worse than porting problems!

    • Yep, don't port now. I had issues last week as no one knows who is working or where they are

    • As some anecdotal evidence, I ported one Optus number 3 days ago and another one yesterday. I did the first port over the phone. Was on hold for about an hour, but once I got through to them, it only took about 15 minutes on the phone and the number was transferred within 30 minutes. The second port was done online and was transferred the next day.

    • Currently on my 4th attempt to port prepaid into Telstra..

      • Keep trying… One day it will work…

  • Can you port from Telstra to Boost easily?

    • no, you need to do via their chat (which is closed)

      • you need to use chat on the app

        • it doesn't work

          • @jv: it does, but the agents are incompetent.

            • @Supercool: it says live chat is unavailable.

              • @jv: In the app go to the "get help" tab on the bottom.. little speech bubble to initiate chat. You start with AI.. good luck!

                • @Supercool: Only works with Virtual Assistant, not live chat…

                  • @jv: write "transfer"

It is either a person or sub standard AI.. hard to tell.

                    • @Supercool: it's not a person.

the website states that there is no live person on chat at the moment.

                      • @jv: Are you using the app or the website? I know the 24/7 chat is offline on the website. I'm telling you can you can connect to an agent through the app. It works for me. Good luck.

                        • @Supercool:

Are you using the app or the website?

                          both

How long will the Sim last before porting? I'm with Optus for another 4 months. Could I buy this and hold onto it for then?

    • usually 12 months, but it depends on how old the batch is…

    • +1

I called Boost from the previous deal and they say what ever is the expiry date on the pack.

there were handing out 40gb bonus data to port in customers quite recently. hopefully that deal returns soon.

  • Is it possible to price match with Office Works

    • Not if it requires a coupon code.

  • was in the checkout process adding promo code and bam sold out… oh well no rush given I'm with telstra and peeps saying port in problems atm.

  • I've been trying to port from Amaysim to a Boost sim the last few days but the website constantly crashes not allowing me to progress at the moment. Webchat and calling is a no go at the moment. Anyone else having the same experience?

    • +1

Had to do it a 2nd time before it progressed then it took between 24-48 hrs to port from Optus

      • It allows me to progress to the enter email section and then hangs. I've tried different times and browsers as well…

        • Having the same problem too

  • Yeah looks like only $5 discount now.

  • I need a 240gb plan that is usually sold @ $300. Any deals on it?
