[Used] Dell Latitude 3300 - Core i3 7020u / 8GB RAM / 128GB SSD $314.10 Delivered @ Computer Now eBay

210
PSIGNAL10

Seem like a great deal as a low cost student or travelling laptop. They have just further reduced the price today, stack with Ebay's code for more discount.
I reckon they are better than most refurbished items on Ebay, in that they are not 5 years old refurbished laptops (back sticker shows Mfg 2019) and have 3 months warranty.
Express delivery as well. Got a laptop from them delivered to WA in 2 biz days.
Put this into perspective, Dick Smith's refurb Dell 3300 costs $499 plus delivery, has lesser Celeron CPU and half the RAM.
Useful info:
Two of Dell's popular lines of laptop computers are the Latitude and Inspiron series. The differences between the two lines stems from their intended purpose. Dell intends the Latitude series for business use. The Inspiron laptop series, on the other hand, is for typical home and light office use.

Seller's spiel:
Incorrect model ordered for client so these have seen very little use and are in excellent condition. There may be minor scuffs on exterior due to the type of plastic used but are working perfectly.
Software has been fully restored to factory condition.
Specifically aimed and marketed originally towards students this will be the ideal machine for those having to attend school remotely during this current situation.
Intel Core i3-7020u 2.3Ghz
8GB RAM
128GB SSD
Includes:- Comes with charger only
Will supply full tax invoice and 3 months warranty

  • Anyone able to figure out the screen resolution? Expecting it will be 1366x768, however it looks like they could have been specced to full HD and/or touch screen.

    Win10pro

    Good deal.

    • The specs from Dell list the OS as:
      619-AHCQ : Windows 10 Home (64bit) English

Not sure if that means there was a separate Company licence to upgrade it.

  • If its "Incorrect model ordered for client so these have seen very little use and are in excellent condition" then you think there would be a bunch of manufacture warranty left unless it was a refirb'ed from Dell in which case that would be 3 months , so it be a "used used" machine.

    • Ignore seller spiel. It’s used well and truely.

Incorrect model ordered for client so these have seen very little use and are in excellent condition.

      Yeah right!

      • they probably incorrectly ordered from the same mob on ebay (i.e. they were already used), so they charged them a restocking fee, took them back & flogged them off again. Thus they have ordered the incorrect model & had little use (after finding they're useless!).

Will my kids have a decent Minecraft experience on this?

    • +4

      They hate Minecraft.

      • +8

        Very helpful, thanks.

      • +1

yeah its been proven kids hate Minecraft, it bankrupted Microsoft and put Notch into the poor house…

    • +1

yes at the advertised 768p resolution it will be fine.. if you hook it up to telly it will probably also be fine.

      • Thanks, I was more referring to processing power.

        • Unless you want to run RTX, it should be fine

          • +1

@Bubbleshark: Well I just looked up what RTX is and I suspect the kids would be interested but I'm not springing for a gaming laptop LOL.

    • Seems like it has a business warranty contract as consumers laptops usually have 1 year warranty expiry date.

      • +1

Yes. I don't know if business warranties are transferable when it is sold to an individual though.

        • +1

I think that's why the store plays it safe by advertising 3 months warranty. But for this price, I'd look it as a bonus if the warranty goes to 2022.

    • 8GB, 1x8GB, DDR4 Non-ECC DIMM,8GB,2666,1RX8,8G,DDR4,S

      • yeah being still under warranty AND business class means its good if your kids dont bust it up

        • Correct, Dell intends the Latitude series for business use therefore the components would be better than the Inspiron laptop series which are for typical home and light office use.

          • @Buy2Much: I agree for the higher end Latitudes, however for these lower end Latitudes - the build feels very Inspiron. I suspect they aim them at businesses and just boost the level of on site support/coverage.

            • @bdl: The chassis does looks very cheap and plastic like Inspiron. Though it often hard to judge by photos.

if this had an fhd screen i'd buy it and right now my kid's laptop is in good condition

    • +3

If this had i7 and was brand new id buy right now

    • +1

Yeah, I'll never purchase a non FHD laptop again.

  • +1

These were real cheap towards the end of last year on dell outlet.
    They are not now :-)

The low resolution might not worry some but for me, I don't like it.
Windows 10 and the browsers/office suites of today aren't kind to vertical real-estate and 768px is not much.

  • Thanks OP. Bought!

  • someone just bought 10!

  • Can't see in the details and never bought a computer before- does this come with Microsoft office?

    • Most computers don't come standard with Office and if they do, you would usually see it in the description.

    • +1

You can buy it for about $30 bucks, or use google's free online equivalents, or pirate it if you want.

      • Where can you buy for $30? Sounds a bit dodgy!

        • +1

If you buy with paypal there is no risk because you can just chargeback if you don't get a code, but you can get them from sites like g2a or any other site that shows up if you search "microsoft office key" in google shopping.

  • gone. damn someone bought 10!

    • 15 to 0 in 25 minutes!

      • I got the Latitude 3490 from the recent deal in March, so not complaining. I am a Latitude fan haha
anyway this laptop is too small for my liking
yes battery can be upped to 56Wh but no second HDD slot, 13 inch is a bit limiting and god I hate those Qualcomm wifi cards I have a box full of them in the corner

        • So I should regret my purchase then lol!

          • +1

@Neatoboy: nah rejoice you can do anything to this machine if you like. Latitudes are built to be tinkered with

you already have 8gb ddr4 ram so no problem with single slot

larger 56Wh battery can be easily installed, around $80 on eBay

can upgrade the screen to proper 1080p or 900p if desired

wifi easily replaced, and stellar performer 9260 can be bought for $25 off eBay, unless you can source the AX200

            easy

Just received my order and laptop is in immaculate/mint condition came with original box, quick start/safety booklet etc. …… thanks OP
