    Its not that cheap, I bought mine from HN/Domayne at 50 to 60% off. King was around $2500 with ensemble.

      I suspect you bought either a Mirco-tech model which is very different from a Premium Tempur mattress or it might have been a 21cm one which is a lot cheaper

        HI there, sorry I'm not a mattress expert….just my experience.

        I know manufacturers have a habit of putting different ranges and names with slight changes for each distribution channel/shops so the average joe cant compare the products. Its very annoying as a consumer.

              @franco cozzo: The mark up situation in bedding is a result of Mr Harvey entering the mattress market and pushing for HUGE Discounts (or the appearance of them)
              The profit is not as much as you think when you factor in the amount of stock a bed store holds, rents, warehouse rents, drivers, sales staff etc
              Saying that, the prices in this post were negotiated direct with Tempur and while sure there is margin in it for our store its very small and is only a result of the negotiations.

    I love my Tempur mattress, one of best investments ever considering you spend almost half your life sleeping.

        I have two, one is firm (cannot remember the model) and one is a cloud soft in the spare room. I LOVE the firm, it took a few nights to get use to it and now it’s still going strong after three years, always molds to my body perfectly but the soft is definitely not recommended as it is way to ‘squishy’. The quality of both mattresses though is top level and I could not fault.

    Meh. I would not buy a bed from a store again.

    I highly recommend a bed-in-a-box from Ecosa or Koala. Much better quality, reasonably price and their staff won't recommend an item that want to get off the floor because no one wants to buy it. Read better the lines.

      Bed in a box have their place in the market for sure.

      (Salesman hat on) they however are nowhere near a Tempur for quality etc the density is a lot higher in a Tempur so you its a category all of its own
      Bed in a Box etc also have issues with heat which a mattress like Tempur does not have due to its design (Salesman hat off)

      Not all bed store staff are as you say. Some brands / retailers have expectations on their staff to suggest certain products over others, we do not do that.
      I for one am not paid a commission on sales, i am paid a good wage and told to recommend the right bed for the customer. Other big brands pay minimum wage and incentivise sales based on price/brand etc

      Also: this sale is for stock we will order on behalf of OzB buyers, its not stock we are offloading as you say

    I bought the Ergoflex IMO just as good and 1/3 rd of the price (roughly). Very happy, but like all memory foam mattresses allow a week for you to adjust to a better style of sleep.

          We used Star Track for all our shipping for this reason, your parcel for some reason was prohibitively expensive to send with ST so we used CP which we wanted to avoid if we could.

    It's a lot of money, and yet worth it if you can afford it.
    We also have 2 Ergoflex mattresses in the house, which are good, but softer than the Tempur and not quite as supportive.

        1) There doesn't seem to be a way to buy online
        2) Apart from the photo it provides no details on why that shape is good for stomach sleepers and all of the details relate to the other back and side pillows instead. Not very good marketing for such an expensive pillow. It's basically "It's tempur and a good pillow, trust us". To spend $129! No thanks.

          Well the pillow is being sold by our store and we don’t do online sales that’s why you can’t buy online. The post literally said pop in or call us.

    Is this just a custom deal you’ve got going in VIC? Just thinking that we’ve got a bed shed here in the ACT. If I grabbed one can it be arranged thru them rather than paying $200 in shipping?

    Also, how do the motorised bases perform in your experience, had many issues with them? My existing mattress would be no good with a base like that, far too ridged. Does the tempur mattress just conform/mould to the shape of the mortorised base due to the unusual material?

          our courier who transports to Sydney for us is able to divert to Canberra if required.

          The pricing we have is only at our store as we personally negotiated it. The representative for Canberra is different and the local store is not guaranteed to be able to get the prices.

      The salesperson did a demo of these with the motorised base and I was amazed as to how much they will bend, literally to a sitting position - so yes - "tempur mattress just conform/mould to the shape of the mortorised base" in my 15 minute Demo
