Joing Yakuza 0

Yakuza, the first installment in SEGA's critically acclaimed action series, gets an extreme remake in Yakuza Kiwami.

To save his best friend, Kazuma Kiryu takes the fall for a crime he didn’t commit, and ends up with a 10-year prison sentence. After being released, Kiryu finds himself expelled from his yakuza family, and alone in a world he no longer recognizes.

Events take a turn for the worse when 10 billion yen vanishes from the vault of the Tojo Clan, Kiryu's former yakuza family, igniting a war in the red-light district of Kamurocho. Together with a mysterious girl named Haruka, Kiryu must fight to survive and uncover the truth hidden amidst the chaos surrounding them.

Great stuff, been looking forward to this since I finished Yakuza 0 on games pass

  • Fantastic game, this is also a great starting point for people wanting to get into the series.
Really hoping they port over the HD collection of 3, 4 and 5 onto PC/Xbox so more people can experience the series.

  • I went to the link but couldn't find info.

Will Yakuza 2 be coming to PC Game Pass as well?

    • +1

      Yes, it's on PC gamepass

  • 300 hours of fun.

  • Played this about 3 years ago on the Playstation. Good game but Yakuza 0 was probably the best in the franchise.

  • +1

Wasteland 3 has also been added to Game Pass for PC.

  • -1

What does that mean? Free game?

    • +1

If you are subscribed to Microsoft Xbox Gamepass, you get a free game to play as long as you maintain the subscription

      • And the game remains in the subscription

  • +2

    I approve.

  • Waiting for Kiwami 2! Have already played Kiwami & Zero on the PS4. Couldn't recommend higher, zero especially which you should start with

  • I’ve put in 110 hours into Zero and now I’m ready for Kiwami. (When I get bored of PSO2)

    • -5

      No you didn’t.

Don't be an ass, there's 100+hrs of content in Yakuza 0. I think I ticked over 100hrs as well completing all side quests.

  • Kiryu-Chan!

  • How does this differ to 0. Is it shorter (being based on an older game)?

    • +1

Yep, it's just Kiryu, only really takes place in one area and doesn't have the depth of side-quests, like the cabaret and real estate stuff.

However the game is still very very good and continues to have an excellent mix of storytelling and bonkers shenanigans.

  • I've said it before and I'll say it again - these Yakuza games are ****ing awesome. Which reminds me, I still have Yakuza 6 and Judgement sitting there on my PSN account waiting to start… don't know if I'll have time to get through them before Yakuza 7 comes out!

    • Judgement was the first in the series I played through properly, loved every minute of it. It's the reason I took interest in these older ones, been great to finally have them on Xbox.

  • My subscription is now $4.50 each month, which is great value. But is there a cheaper option for XGP for PC? I imagine signing up for a year or two easily.

Can you keep these games? I'm very slow at finishing games, Yakuza 0 took me 2 months to chip at it.

  • Whats the first game someone should start the series with?

    • They were released in released in chronological order besides #0. That was a prequel released after #5

  • +1

f1 2019 just got added. how good is gamepass :-)
