Did anyone actually receive the last free one? I sure didn't…

    • +12

      Yes I did

    • +1

      Me neither.

    • I didn't receive my look at order

    • +3

I ordered two and received both.

    • My partner got hers but I didn't get mine even though they were bought and sent out on the same day.

    • +3

I did, device was ok, shows you some general info, but i can't say if it was really worth the money.

      • how do you use it?

        • +2

Connect it to your car, and then you download the APP and connect to the device via Bluetooth. You have to create an account with them first (it's free) and then enter your car model and it'll show you the info. It's pretty basic and simple, you can buy additional devices which will give you more info on the car, like tire pressure sensors.

    • Yep

    • +1

      I didn't. Got a refund

      • Me too. Emailed them, they said they'd send it out again and give me refund. Got the refund, still hasn't arrived

        • I emailed them as well and he confirmed they will refund.. Still nothing in my paypal..

    • i got mine after 1 month

    • Yeah got mine

    • Never got mine.

    • Never received mine :(

    • +1

Received mine but found it useless.

    • +1

      never came :(

    • Got one from the free offer. And it works perfectly.

    • +1

I received mine. Checked and it gave one error code. Could not find any info on what the code means for my car though. Everything runs fine

    • I just got it today. Package said from China.

  • +1

    I got mine also

  • +1

I got mine, best part was the ability to read and reset codes, which the mechanics have wanted to charge me 50 to 70$ easy.
App permissions are very invasive though.

    • +1

Reads and writes (resets). That's impressive. Lottery if you get one. Anyone know what the actual dongle is? ELM etc?

      • Yeah I was impressed too when it cleared the code for me, simple one tap and it was gone

  • Got mine, loses connection, the app doesn't show data properly.

    • Same here.
App worked OK for a few trips but then starting failing to detect trips or displaying incorrect data.
For example;RPM will show '35' at highway speed or in 'PSI'.
It also reports turbo boost when I don't have one.

Have reinstalled the app but it remains flaky.

Haven’t received mine from the first order, PayPal is disputing with the vendor. Nothing but a scam for $13 or so.

  • +2

Thanks for the reminder. Ordered and not arrived….

  • No issues here. Works good

  • Ordered on the 27 Feb, but still not arrive.

  • Didn't receive mine on the last order

  • +3

I went through a few OBD scanners. Best one I found has been the OBDLink MX+ OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner from Amazon. Unfortunately is now over $300 at the moment. But I got it for $119 last year. Works with my Renault Koleos (managed to enable android auto in a model that wasnt meant to have it) and worked on a new BMW X3 too and changed a few settings on it like the nag screen

  • +2

Haven't received mine bought on 26th Feb. Tried to login, they seem to have deleted my account.

  • i received mine

  • +1

Got mine, left plugged into my cx5 and it completely drained the battery. Probably because I didn’t drive it all week but still not great.
Nothing else has been changed in the car so I can only assume it was that (battery 8months old) got battery recharged and removed the ZUS all good now.

    • Ditto same scenario for me. Mine was nissan dualis.

    • What thing drains the vehicle battery? Impressive…

  • I got mine but never able to connect

  • Ordered one the last time this was posted and it arrived in 4 weeks. It is quite a powerful little device and it quickly reset a pesky check engine code on my RAV4. The app [Zus] permission requests are over the top and I suspect that data collection is the trade off for this 'free' OBDII device. Anyway, not a big deal. As soon as I had cleared the code I uninstalled the app. https://imgur.com/a/4QTrlAN

Works with other apps just fine, so no need to use their one.

      • Good to know, cheers for that.

      • Do you use another app that you can recommend?

        • +1

As mentioned below I ended up using ‘Car Scanner’ by OvZ on the Play Store 4.6* from 50k+ reviews, but I tried 4 different apps and it worked with all. Only thing to remember is it needed disconnecting from one app before another app could connect to it.

          • @Pobman: Cheers. I just tried it on the 'Torque' app which is very comprehensive but the UI is very outdated. Looking for something that looks bit more modern.

            • +1

@mikmac: Yeah wasn't to fussed how it looked, using it to track down some issues rather than as a daily monitor… but as I said worked with all 4 apps I tried so should work with any. What Car Scanner did have was a very nice and clear connect and disconnect button :D

              • @Pobman: Good point. Got the paid pro version.
                Cheers!

  • I received mine, but the device is not detected by the app…

    • +1

Just detect it with Bluetooth on the phone, code 1234, then use a different app. Worked for me.

  • Nope. not received

  • +1

Their app is garbage but it works with other apps fine, link code was 1234 when needed. I ended up using ‘Car Scanner’ from the play store.

  • Didn't receive the nonda deal at all. Doesn't bode well with me.

  • +2

The last nonda device killed my car battery. Avoid!

  • I have also not received mine not sure to take a refund or wait for the product. I placed my order on 26th of Feb.

  • +1

Their products are useless and the support terrible.

  • +1

Haven't got my order from last deal, paypal dispute is under going.

    • Finally got my money back through PayPal protection. Will never deal with them again.

  • received mine. works fine. i'd probably not leave it in the car long term as it stays 'on' so can chew up battery.

  • Does anyone know how accurate it's GPS is? I'm hoping it will save my butt some time I misplace my car.

    • Doesn't it use the phones GPS?

  • +1

    never got mine

  • never got mine… contacted them and after 4 months they did a refund not sure how genuine are these guys

  • +1

Ordered one of these the last time this was up. Never received it. Have been emailing the company for a refund of postage and they never reply. A friend of mine has had their postage refunded, however.

    • Also, if I remember correctly, there were some serious privacy concerns surrounding the app. This was especially for Android phones.

  • +2

I never received my order. Been waiting 2 months.

I emailed the company and was offered a refund or they could send another unit. I opted for another unit to be sent, and received confirmation of postage today. The status page of my order from February showed 'shipping soon', so looks like they never sent the unit. Whatever is happening at Nonda, it appears to be a company that can't handle orders properly.

    • +2

Smells like a scam. My order hasn't arrived either and I had received order confirmation - it's been almost 2 months. I've sent an email and will see what they say but I'll probably be seeking a refund through PayPal.

  • Ordered mine on 27Feb, never arrived, they offered a refund, no refund received, now opened a Paypal dispute and escalated. Will not deal with them again.

  • Wow. Sent an email to them saying I hadn't received anything yet, and should I be concerned? In maybe 30 mins I got a message saying the full amount was being refunded. Assuming the refund appears, that's impressive.

    • …and that was followed up with an email apologising for the delay, that the refund was part of the apology, and that they were going to keep following up with the delivery service to try to find and deliver it. In other words, if it does ever arrive then it will be free. (Excluding my effort, currency exchange costs, etc).

      • I sent an email a week before you and received the same sort of response (they will work to deliver it but will refund my shipping fee to make up for the delay). Two weeks later, no refund, nothing shipped.

        • My refund came through pretty quickly - in the description it was "SP * NO NDA INC" ie with a space in the Nonda name, so could easily be missed.

          • @PlasticSpaceman: I didn't get the refund but the health monitor actually arrived today. I received a Health Monitor Lite rather than the Health Monitor Mini they said it would be. Not sure if there's a difference.

  • Scammed us, never came.

  • Ordered on 27/2, received notification that it would be dispatched within 2 days and didn't receive any update since.

Sent an email asking what's happening on 20/4, received a reply saying there are delays due to COVID-19 (even though they seem to have moved to selling masks and are moving tons of them). They also wrote that they'd raise it with their logistics team to get it shipped and have fully refunded the shipping fee.

Another two weeks later, still not shipped and the refund has never gone through.

  • +1

Never received mine either. Only receiving their spam emails few times a week.
I would say don’t bother, waste of money.

  • Got mine after an eternity. Meanwhile I bought an ELM from ebay. Both work on a Kia but not on a 2k Outback. Tested, wasted time, opened bin and got on with life. Phew!
