Thanks heaps! I knew I missed something. Updated!

      • Can you update this please - deal is not expired. Thanks

  • +3

Thats the standard price from Device Deal. They remove items from bundles and sell seperately or make their own bundles

  • The price is the sixth last word in your very long post! Lol. Price in title please.

  • Would get one like the Swann set with HDD with 4 cameras, believe JB had it for 600 using email code a while ago.
Cloud uploading used a ton of bandwidth, kids/husband will be driven mad when ping goes up crazy everytime a leaf blows past a camera.

    • Swan app is terrible. I went from Swan to arlo. The app and picture quality is do much better, and being wireless is incredible

I've researched around about people who own Arlo's and the devices seem hit and miss, does anyone have some they can comment on?
I surmised its a great form factor etc, but execution still needs some work to get it to flawlessly work

Every now and then the notifications are a little delayed by a few minutes, otherwise it's leagues ahead of my old swan system.

OVerall, I find it a good system, easy to set up and works for what I need it for. I've researched other wireless solutions. I've actively had Arlo's for 3 years now and for the most part they do what they are supposed to do for my purpose every day. Any hiccups with recording, which is extremely rare, usually results in me doing a full system reboot which fixes things. I might do a handful worth a year, which to me is acceptable.

Thanks! Didn't see this one on my search, my mistake! Updated description of this post. Thank you again.

Just update the deal to the JB link and credit oohaah in description 😉

  • UPDATED! You guys are quick! Thank you all.

  • Looking at getting the 2 camera setup while they on sale at JB https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/arlo-pro-2-wire-free-1080…

Anyone who has these, what are your thoughts on how easy it would be for someone to steal these wireless cameras? Can you secure them easily to at least make it a bit harder to just take?

    • +1

They'd be easily stolen, but I guess at least you'd capture them on video whilst they do it? :)

I'm not sure if they'd work if stolen, as they link to your base, so they may be rendered useless - but that probably wouldnt stop some lowlife flogging it given a chance

Easy enough depending on height, placement, and mount. Which is why I set my front cameras using a screw mount, higher placement, and also cams are in each other’s view. The rest of my cameras are within fenced areas and also used screw mounts, with two that are using the magnetic mount, one of which is “free roaming”, all up I use 7.

      • +2

So you just need more cameras to watch the your other cameras 😀

        • +1

Hehehehe, nah I just kept adding them. 2 is enough for the main entrances: Garage and front door. I just kept adding more and more until the only way to remain undetected is to parachute in :D

    • +1

Yes, walk up, and take. - at least you’ll have footage of them stealing it… IF the system works (that’s a big IF, due to geolocation being so flakey)

  • Recently picked up some Reolink Argus 2’s, they’re excellent so far. Way better than my old Ring cameras

  • I just bought two wyze v2 cameras that do the same thing for $45 us on Ali express. They get good reviews and are a cheaper setup with 12 secs of motion sensor video sent to the cloud for free. You can pay extra for continuous recording. https://youtu.be/4SfRKyCNGWs

I’ve also got my eye on the up coming release of the outdoor version.

Bunnings have these for $249. Should be eligible for a pricebeat of 10% bringing it to $200.88.
