For those who have been riding the Witcher wave through Netflix or from the game series whilst in isolation and have considered starting to read the books, Amazon have most (if not all) available for between $10-$12.

The newest reprints have the nicer covers (imo, despite the hideous "Now on Netflix" stamp) and are $12, whilst the older versions - from what I can tell - are being cleared out for $9.99.

I just finished reading The Last Wish and have begun Sword of Destiny.

For those unsure where to start, the aforementioned books are the recommended starting point. They are collections of short stories and are the 2 books that the series was adapted from. After that the order is as follows:
Blood of Elves
Time of Contempt
Baptism of Fire
The Tower of the Swallow
The Lady of the Lake

There is also a "new" collection that most consider optional titles Season of Storms.

Books > game > show (not that any of these are bad)

    • The first book was about semi-circles, right?

  • Awesome prices, also props for putting order of books in post too.

    Awesome work OP! Legend!

  • Winds howling…

    • That's one less to worry about

  • Should also mention Big W should have the books for $12 as well. Just might be easier given the pandemic to order from Amazon

"They offered me a percentage of their profits. I said, 'No, there will be no profit at all — give me all my money right now. The whole amount'," commented Sapkowski. "It was stupid. I was stupid enough to leave everything in their hands because I didn't believe in their success. But who could foresee their success? I couldn't."

    • Is this in reference to the games?

    • Never mind. Just saw the original context. That's hilarious!

  • First played the games, then the TV show now listening to the audiobooks, do recommend!
